The War of Nitrix

I mentioned this idea to a certain friend on IF and he thought it was a good idea for an RPG. So here goes I guess......

By the way (just some extra explanation) in the System of Nitrix there are various solar systems of planets with one main goverment system and then their own individual planetary goverment systems (kinda like Star Wars with Corussant and everything).



One hundred years ago in the planetary system of Nitrix human-animal Hybrid's were created by a group of scientists. They were supposed to be completely obediant to human instruction, bascically tools of brute force in war and laboratory guinea pigs. However, things did not quite go according to plan, there was a hitch in the calculations and, instead of being little better than slaves, the Hybrids were born as fully thinking human look-alikes with strong animal characteristics. They were faster, stronger, capable of great intelligence.

They were, for a period of time, willing slaves until they realised they did not have to take orders or put up with the numerous beatings they recieved. They began to resist their orders and fight back against the society that had created them. Thier large numbers and superior physical abilities served them well but they could not last against the mechanical attacks wrecked upon them by thier human 'masters'.

Help was at hand. A young Fleet Admiral, with a battilion of ships and weaponry at his command, saw worth in the desperate plee of the opressed Hybrids. He ordered his men and ships to fight back against the Goverment of Caelia, the planet they had long served. The Hybrids were rescued and safely transported to the desert planet of Tmera, long abandoned by any human or race.

The young Admiral was killed in one of the many battles that followed the Escape. In his final moments he handed the entire command of the Fleet over to his best friend, Oryon Catt - a snow leopard Hybrid.
The humans aiding the Hybrids were at first replused by the tall Hybrid but thier respect of him grew and deepened when they realised he was a brilliant tactian and a kind leader.

One hundred years on from the original Escape, the Planet of Caelia still fights violently with the Hybrids of Tmera. Some other planets from various other Solar Systems in Nitrix have joined in the battle - either because thier own Hybrids have revolted and joined the original rebels on Tmera or because they do not believe it is right to have opressed the Hybrids in the first place. A sizeable portion of humans have joined the Hybrids on Tmera and assist them in fighting for equality and rights.

The Catt family still rule the Hybrids. The current Lord is named Oryon - after his hailed ancestor (also know as the Lifter of Opression) - his wife died giving birth to twin girls. His elder son, Kawe, is a capable general and well loved by the people. His twin daughters, Halo and Angel, were known in Tmera and her allies for possessing exquisite beauty and good hearts but feared in Caelia and its allies for their fierceness and militry capability. Sadly, Angel was killed in a fatal Caelian attack - killing all that were caught in it.

The Planet of Caelia is ruled by the powerful Amzala family. Lord Amzala is an arrogant man, but not cruel. He has never met a Hybrid and believes the tales of them being human look-alikes but possessing an violent animal nature. He has four sons - all from different women - and has no wife.

And so the battle continues.......

Name: Hello, what must i call you

Age: Elves are immortal so i guess they can be from zero to infinity. But keep it realistic and all, if your a human you cannot be 700 years of age, and i think the humans descended from the Numenorians can't be past 300 or 250

Gender: male, female, unsure ( ).

Race: ( are you an elf, human, dwarf, hobbit, goblin, orc, troll, Urukai etc)

Class: are you a magican, Nazgul, captain of the citadel and whatever

Allignment: (good, evil, neutral, not sure yet)

Faction: usually your race, e.g. elves are with elves

Temperment: are you quick to anger, shy, mysterious? etc.

Personality: what are you like? how do you behave?

Weapons/Armor: your weapons and armorment, if your just starting out your likely to not have anything and have to work at it as you go along.

Abilities : Magicans use magic, bovious, but if you want something a litttle more. Or if you're some kind of Nagul or troll (doubt it)

Description: what do you look like, please try to be descriptive, I.E. height, eye and hair color (if you have hair) etc.

A new RPG

I was wondering whether to start an RPG based on LotR's? Just thinking out loud and wondering whether anyone would be interested in it. If so, i could start one and stuff, if enough peole thinks its good enough.
