Selena, A Horrible Mother, Or simply Forced to chose?

People are debating this on the treat about "who was prestent when Selena died?" so I thought that I would post a new one so you can debate it here! So what are your thoughts on Selena as a mother? What inner struggles do you think she will have to face if she is indeed, alive in hiding.
So the debate is about:
1. If Selena is alive is she a horrible mother for these reasons (if i leave anything out people just add it), She took Eragon to safety and left Murtagh behind. Some people are saying that this is just horrible. But I do not think that. I have quotes and such to show you my points...

First of all, If Selena is alive, here is one reason why I believe that she was not bad for Going BACK and getting Murtagh.

1. Brisingr page 607-608.

Eragon- "Where was Morzans castle?"

Orimis- "Is, not was, the castle still stands. Galbatorix uses it for himself now...."

So, why would she wonder back into the castle of the most feared and dangerour King around? It would have been so foolish.

Ok, and why couldnt she just grab up Murtagh when she left? Well here is why I think that that would have been almost impossible.

Brisingr page 609.

Eragon frowned. "Why didnt my mother leave Morzan when she had the chance?"

"after all that she had done in Morzans name, she felt it was her duty to help the Varden. But more importantly, she could not bring herself to abandon Murtagh to his father."

"Couldnt she have taken him with her?"

"If it had been within her power, I'm sure she would have. Morzan realized that the child gave him a vast amount of control over your mother. He forced her to surrender Murtagh to a wet nurse and only allowed to visit him at infrequent intervals. What Morzan did not know is that during these intervals, she also visited Brom."

So you see, Morzan never loved Murtagh, he used the baby as a way to control Selena. And also on the previous page before that, it states,
"...Becomeing a mother, and meeting Brom altered her character to such a degree that her true name changed, which released her from her previous commitments."

And so that right that says it all for me, Think about the "true name" point of view, after having Murtagh Selena began to change, and then meeting Brom finished that change, and then becoming pregnant with Eragon made her desperate I believe. So, think about the fact that her ttrue name started to change due to the fact that she had Murtagh, how can you call her a horrible mother? Oh I konw why your trying to call her a horrible mother, because she didnt go back and tae Murtagh away right?
But you dont realize how difficult that would have been for her? Do you not think that perhaps Morzan thought of this before hand, and made certain that she could not take the child and flee? I do not believe that Morzan had Murtagh tucked away in a little cabin in the woods somewhere, Murtagh I am quite certain would have been heavily protected!!
If Selena really is alive, I believe that she would be fighting an inner struggle over the fact that she could not save Murtagh, and she would feel guilty for not being able to raise both Eragon and Murtagh together.
I believe that Selena just made a choice based on what she had and didnt have, she had to chose, she had to save Eragon, which was the easiest choice she could have made. She knew that she would without a doubt be able to take at least Eragon away, if she had not taken Eragon away, dont you think that Morzan might have noticed that he had a new baby? And do you not think that he would konw that Eragon wasnt his? I believe that this is why she chose to run. Not because she is cold and unfeeling. But to protect as best she could.

Dragon Eggs By Saphiras Mother?

Well I have searched and searched for something on this topic, and asked a Mod for help but I have found nothing on this topic. So here is my idea.

The Book that I found this in is Eldest, and it is on page 393.
"Much of it was incomprehensible to Eragon, he suspected that Saphira concealed ever more from him, secrets that dragons shared with no one but themselves. One thing he did glean, and that Saphira treasured, was the name of her sire, Iormungr, and her dam, Vervida, which meant Stormcleaver in the old speach. While Iormungr had been bound to a Rider, Vervada was a wild Dragonwho had lain many eggs but entrusted only ONE to the Riders: Saphira. Both dragons perished in the Fall."

So my question is this:
Where are the eggs that Vervada laid, other than Saphira of course. The other eggs would then be wild. So did Galbotorix find and destroy them or did they hatch as wild dragons and are out there somewhere?

Elains Pregnancy

I have looked and looked for like an hour on something about Elains pregnancy. So if there is already aPost about it please point me in the right direction.

I noticed that Elains pregnancy is mentioned quite a few times, and I am just wondering why? Was she not quite pregnant in Eldest? And then through out Brisingr her "problems" are mentioned a few times. I'm just curious if anyone else has noticed this or thought anything of it?
It just seems wierd to me that CP would keep mentioning something about this? Or maybe I am just thinking about unimportant details way to much.
