Ok, some of you may remember the last IF story like this that I posted. Thing is, it kinda died out. And I liked it, so that was sad. The problem now is, I want to bring it back. Well, that's not exactly the problem. The problem is that a few members have stopped coming or have changed. For example, Spinner is no longer a mod, but Thorin is. And I think Yodec stopped coming too. So, I will give you a basis of the characters that remain the same, plus descriptions of the characters that need filling. Remember, I'm an author. I'm allowed to take liberties, as I did with EyesOnly and Aaron. (by the way, is it PompousOnly now, or is that someone else?)

So...characters are not necessarily my opinions of the people themselves.



DwarvesRule:
He's a dwarf. I would think that that's fairly obvious. He's a good old cliche dwarf...rather, Dwarf King. Hey, i want the story to be original, not cliche-free, ok? So deal with it. Dwarves doesn't show emotion much.

Elven King:
Again, fairly self-explanatory. He's the elven king. Again, he's like every other elf ever though up, including blond hair and merriness.

Deadrising:
The random leader of the undead armies. He's rather insane. His plot is to bring everything to complete chaos, or, the perfect randomness. He often cackles like a mad scientist. However, he's no genius.

greeny:
An assassin/bounty hunter. Again, the traditional 'works for the thrill of the hunt' type. Yes, cliche, but oh well. She is ordered by some mods to find the third egg.

n00bs:
Yeah, pretty much like orcs. Or urgals. Or any other spinoff of something like that. They. like orcs and urgals, have their own incomprehensible language, n00bish.

EyesOnly:
Plans to overthrow Mike, leader of IF. He is secretly training a n00b army.

Aaron:
EyesOnly's partner in crime. He is trying to help 'the banhammered' back onto the site. Watch for the 'Paladin got banned AGAIN' running gag.

Other characters include:
Yodec's former character: A chipper young boy with an awesome accent. He's very annoying

Thorin's former character: The leader of the men (yes, i know that it's a dwarf name, ok?). He hates mods. Of course, now Thorin is a mod, so i can't do that. I need a new character for Thorin. Anyway, Thorin's former character falls in love with greeny.

Ben and Janna's former characters: The Writer's/artist's hangout mods. now it would just be teh writer's hangout, so i need new mods. I could even do it with one mod.

I also need:
A global mod or two who send greeny off
An old crone who lives in the Advertising hut


If anyone else has any ideas or wants to be in it, pm me. PM ME, DON'T POST IT HERE. AND PLEASE, NO SPAMMING! I WILL UPDATE WHEN I UPDATE, OK? SO GET OVER IT.

ok, anyone have any suggestions for mods? I figured that Thorin's gonna be one of the mods that sends greeny out...i may only end up with one then. Who are the arts moderators?

EDIT: Ok, checked the arts mods, and I'm going with Mockingbird and MumblingSage. First chapter up soon. Sorry for the wait.

ok, sorry it's been so long, but I've had a heckload of writing that I've been working on. So...here's the first update.



Dwarves stood atop the mountain in Inheritanceforums, overlooking the Creative Arts Forum, his final safe haven. IF had fallen so far from it's original glory. The n00bs were getting more vicious too. Arthryn didn't even bother with warning them anymore. It was getting to the point where anyone found without their shift key on them was automatically banned. And it wasn't just n00bs, all disrespectful members (and there were many of those nowadays) were mercilessly banhammered.

That's when the messenger came.

"Lord Dwarves! You're wanted by Mockingbird and Mumblingsage!"

"The Mods? What do they want?"

"I don't know, but they say it's important."

Deadrising stood facing his undead legions of terror. "Minions! There are rumors that the Third Egg has been found! The green dragon egg of Paolini! This talisman has the power to end theories and restore order to IF! Our job is to find it and smash it!"

"Uh...but why?" asked an unfortunate ghoul.

Dead smote him with magic random fire. "Because, fool, we thrive on chaos. hahahahahahahaha!!!1one!!!!eleven!!!!twelve!!! Wait, twelve? hm...I like it." He continued to laugh for another hour while his minions shuffled their feet awkwardly.

greeny pulled her cloak around her tighter. Hadhafang and Thorin had better be paying her good for this job, whatever it was. The great double doors in front of her (what was it with these power-hungry mods and their fancy architecture?) and she entered. Hadhafang and Thorin sat reclining in their thrones. The nerve of them! Only an admin should be able to sit in a throne, but these mods lived in luxury, taxing their subjects for their comforts.

greeny was the first to speak. "What is it?"

"We have a job for you," Hadhafang said.

"I figured as much. what is it now? I'm sick of taking down these n00bs, practically for free. This had better be some sort of threat to the forums--"

"The green dragon egg," Said Thorin, his voice cutting over hers and echoing through the vast, empty halls. greeny's jaw dropped.

"You can't be serious! I'm a bounty hunter, not a treasure hunter! Is this all I am to you? Some sort of sophistocated easter bunny?"

"No, greeny, it's a lot more complex than that." Hadhafang's voice was cold and sharp. She spoke with confidence and authority. "You know that IF is in a state of unrest. The admins are looking for that egg. It is a talisman with the power to end theories and bring calm back to the forums." She smiled darkly at greeny. "And it is your job to bring it back to us, so that we get promoted."

"Look, I don't do this type of work. I don't work for mods. It's normally the admins who hire me to do a bit of paid banhammering. I think this conference is over." She spun on her heel and started walking back to the door.

"We'll pay you a thousand post counts," said Thorin. She stopped. Sure, it was a lot more than she normally got paid, but--they obviously were willing to give her more. They knew how she negotiated prices.

"Ha! I can get more than that for a chaotic n00b!"

"We know that you're a bit hard pressed for post counts right now. and the admins are paying you less." greeny flinched. It was true, the admins were paying her less since paladin managed to get back on the site.

"Five thousand," she said. "I want five thousand."

"Too much. Two."

"Two and a half."

"You've got yourself a deal." Thorin held out his hand.

"I still don't plan on making you a regular employer," she said, spitting in her hand before shaking.
