Well this took me 4 hours to paint, I know your all going "zOMG who wuld paint summin so small for so long" but I play warhammer and that guy is the leader of my army so I want 1) he too look awesome and 2) the other player to go "HO DAMN!!!1"

Plus I can win prizes in painting competitions

OK sorry for the double post but I need some help I need opinions on what color to pain this dragon but don't suggest metallic colors nor yellow or white cause they are so hard to paint

I think a solid color would work nicely for that. Maybe red or blue? I think you should avoid anything like a lightblue or any variations of those primary colors. I just don't think that'd look very good.

Did you sculpt that dragon yourself? Its really great.

Pixel I would love to say that I did sculpt that model but that would be a lie...its a gamesworkshop model kit.

K&G yes as in paint the models, you buy them unpainted then you build them and paint them.

All I need is general opinions like Red, Blue, Green, etc....

Wow, I dunno why I didn't reply to this thread before...that first paint job is awesome! Very detailed...I love the flame detailing on his cloak.

As for the dragon, I think I'd paint it a dark red.

Yer I spent a good hour on the whole cloak, I had to just give up cause I would never be happy with it.

What would you think of black for the scales and then either a ritch red or dark blue for the skin and wings and then to blend from dark red up to orange on the spines along its back?

I'd say Red for the Dragon.

Brilliant job on the first one, i started collecting LOTR warhammer for a short while but it was too expensive. My painting skills are really bad so mine looked nowhere near as good as yours.

A friend of mine has whole armies of them, i don't know how he has the patience to sit and paint them all.

White is SO hard to paint...on small areas its fine but on a large area its nigh on imposible

Hmm...black would be okay (though it's already black, obviously), but I would paint the wings dark red if you're going to do a black > red > orange fade on the spikes.

oh only scales will be black actual flesh will be red with wing membranes a lighter shade of red..maybe a pale red or fiery orange.

OK thanks for the input guys I have the paint scheme now I shall take several months to paint in get really stressed and then go crazy with a shotgun even though you cant get one legally in england I will find a way

Anyway, nice elf model dude. The cloak is very detailed, I agree. And I think the dragon would be blue, but meh, I'm not painting it XD
