Chapter 1
The Village Hidden in the Leaves, as always, was running busily. People out in the streets with their stands selling their merchandise . Girls and boys ran, playing around. Some of the bigger kids headed off to Ninja Academy. The grownups walked calmly towards their work as ninja.
Inside the Academy, students of ages under twelve were practicing for their exam to become Genin, the first stage as ninja.
“Very well class” said their sensei, Rock Lee sensei, “Today we will practice or transformation jutsus for the exam tomorrow. Remember, you have to all do your best to become the top Genin here in the Village, like I once was…” He sighed deeply.
“Anyway, may all of you follow me into the next room to start practicing?”
The students stood up and followed him to the next room, where their examination will be held the next day.
“Okay, first up is Hikari Hyuga” said the sensei. A girl of about twelve moved up to the front of the class. She had waist long, black hair and silver colored eyes. She wore a beige colored dress, long in the back and short in the front, with black pants underneath it.
“Transform!” said Hikari, making the hand signs for the jutsu. She instantly turned into an exact replica of Rock Lee sensei. A few seconds later she turned back to herself.
“Very good. Next is Inomara Yamanaka” A girl with bright blonde hair pulled up in a ponytail that went down a little more than her waistline came up. She wore a brown top, with black Capri pants. She had green eyes.
“Transform!” The same as Hikari, she turned into an exact replica of their sensei. A few seconds later, she looked like herself again.
“Good. Next is Nutiket Uchiha” A boy with brown hair spiked up, eyes as black as the night. He wore a dark blue loose jacket that hangs a little below the waist with the Uchiha symbol on the collar. He also wore a similar made pants under the jacket.
“Transform!”
“Very good, Nutiket.”
“Just what you’d expect from him” said Hikari, beaming at Nutiket.
“Yeah, do you even think you have a chance with him? I mean, we have to be realistic, you don’t even come close with me around” said Inomara.
“Believe whatever you want, Inomara, but I know what I know. And what I know is that me and Nutiket are destined to be together”
“Humph, whatever, weirdo”
Nutiket came over to them and Hikari left a space for him next to her, away from Inomara.
“That was great, Nutiket!” she said.
“Thanks. You weren’t that bad either, Hikari” said Nutiket.
See Inomara, I do have a chace with him Hikari thought.
Like that, all of the students passed by, all of them transforming successfully. Finally, only one was left.
“Nodare Uzumaki” A boy with a wide grin on his face walked up to the front of the class. He had black hair, that was spiked up ony a little due to it’s length. His eyes were blue with a little bit of silver mixed into them. He wore beige and black top shirt and black pants.
“Right here, Rock Lee sensei!” He preformed a hand sign. “Transform!” A puff of smoke appeared, and when it cleared away, a girl covered with clouds everywhere was standing there. She winked at the teacher.
The girls in the crowd looked and started to giggle at their classmate, while the boys stood there looking at Nodare, with their mouths open. The teacher stood there, with his mouth open, red patches opearing at his cheeks.
“Nodare, that is- it’s-” Rock Lee sensei could not finish his sentence.
Nodare turned back to himself. “That’s the sexy jutsu! Straight from the teachings or our much respected Lord Hokage!” He said.
“Yeah right! Keep dreaming Nodare, Lord Hokage would never do something like that!” said Hikari.
“But it’s true! Honest! You should know, Hikari, you were learning with me when Lord Hokage took me away. Lady Hinata took you apart too, so you could master your Byakugan better.”
Hikari blushed and looked away from Nutiket.
“You were training with this weirdo?” he asked her.
She nodded and turned to look at her sensei again.
“Umm… Nodare! If you keep this up, you’ll never reach the Chunnin level. How do you expect to be a good patrol leader, if you can’t even master a good and simple transformation jutsu?” said Rock Lee sensei.
“Just because I can’t master that kind of transformation doesn’t mean I don’t master transforming! Didn’t you just see me transform into a girl with that sexy Jutsu?” said Nodare, outraged.
“That is true, Nodare. You remind me a lot of Naruto, when he was your age. Just as stubborn, hardheaded and annoying as him” said Rock Lee sensei, grinning.
“Grrr. It’s not funny!” said Nodare, walking away from the middle of the students.
“Um. Okay, that seems to be everyone. Tomorrow will be the actual exam. Lord Hokage shall be present, to make sure himself that all of you passed” he said the last looking at Nodare “This is a serious exam, not just to see who gets or doesn’t get to be a Genin level ninja. This exam will prove how us senseis are working on the education system, and to see who here is worthy enough to represent or village in battle, in the case that it will be necessary someday.” Finished Rock Lee sensei. He nodded “Now you may all leave, you are dismissed until tomorrow. Don’t be late for the exam, because it will not look good on your record, a ninja being late”
He did a hand sign and disappeared in puff of smoke.
“Pft, showoff” said Nodare, opening the classroom door. He walked outside, the rest of the students following him. Hikari went outside and stoped at the door.
“Umm, Nutiket, do you want to go eat something with me now? Ramen or something?” she said, as Nutiket came out of the classroom.
“Sure-”
“I’d love to go too, Hikari!” came Nodare’s voice.
“Nodare, I wish to go with Nutiket, not with you along.”
“Yeah, go try to win over some other girl, if you can” said Nutiket.
Hikari and Nutiket walked away, leaving Nodare standing there all alone.
“Being the seventh Hokage’s grandson has really gone to his head. Though nobody calls him honorable grandson, like they called Konahamaru.” said Hikari.
“Maybe because he isn’t honorable enough.” said Nutiket jokingly.
“Probably” said Hikari laughing.
They reached the Ichiraku’s Ramen Shop, and ringed the little bell.
“Come in” came a voice from inside.
They pulled the curtains aside and sat down.
“One bowl with fried pork, please” said Nutiket.
“Make that two”
“How ’bout three?” came a very familiar voice from outside.
“Oh no” said Hikari. She looked back to see Inomara, standing there with a grin.
“What a surprise to find you two here” she said in a tone of faked surprise.
“Come off it, Ino, you knew we were coming” said Hikari madly.
“Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t” Inomara said, pusing herself between Nutiket and Hikari, turning her back on Hikari.
“So, Nutiket. Nervous about the exam?”
“No.”
“I mean, you have to be at least a little nervous. What if you fail?”
“I know I wont fail, because I’m confident that I can do everything Rock Lee sensei taught us”
“Well, I’m a little nervous. What if I forget a tecnique or something?”
“You’ll take the exam next year, idiot” said Hikari, standing up.
“Stay out of this, Hyuuga girl. Nutiket and I are talking. Right, Nutiket?” she turned to look at Nutiket, but found that he had gone.
“WHY THAT LITTLE- I mean, he must have had things to do, that little cutie” said Inomara, a vein throbbing in her temple. She had calmed down a little, but was still breathing heavily.
“Yeah right” Hikari left Ichiraku’s Ramen Shop. On the street she looked both waysmand saw Nutiket walking in the direction of his house.
“I’ll let him go” she said to herself, and started walking in drection of her own.
“Oh man, what a drag” came a voice from behind her. She turned and looked at Shikaku, a boring looking kid. He had a face of being bothered by everything and anything.
“What’s up, Shikaku?”
“My dad wants me to go run some errands for him. That is such a drag” he said.
“Good luck with that” said Hikari, running off.
Shikaku waved her off and turned to walk towards the center of town. He went into the weapons shop, and bought the kunai knives his father had made him buy. When he walked outside, he saw Nutiket buying some tea at the tea shop. Shikaku walked over to him and pated him on the back. Nutiket jumped and looked back, sighing at seeing Shikaku.
“You scared me, for a moment there I thought you were Inomara. She’s been following me aroud town all day. Won’t even let me eat in peace.” he said.
“Yeah, scary girl that one. I just hope I end up with Kara or Hikari on my squad, but not her” said Shikaku, walking away.
I hope I don’t get stuck with her either. Thought Nutiket.
