[Silver Charm]

That's Google's current logo. Looks good, but after a few years, it got a bit too old for my taste. This contest puts forth the challenge of creating an alternate Google logo, but still hanging on to the Google feel. Here are the guidelines:

-Logo image canvas must be 500X300 or less.
-Must retain the simplicity and overall feel of the current logo (don't go overboard with effects, etc.)
-Don't make it like a sig: just make the logo and that's it.
-You can make up a slogan and put it on the image if you want.
-Must say "Google" on it (don't invent some alternate name)

Entries are due by February 8th.
Voting thread will be posted February 8th or 9th.

I don't see the point of redesigning iconic logos. Actually, it pisses me off when it happens.
