Synopsis

In the first installment of the War of the Inheritance Forums, the story began around the long awaited Inheritance Forums Awards -- among a great deal of tension between the Inheritanceans and the Draconians who were plotting rebelling and secession. Ultimately during the ceremonies, they made plan into action; and so the Draconians broke away from the reign of the Lord of Inheritance, Michelangelo. In the process, they took with them Yoli who had planned and catered the awards ceremony.

While the Draconians went to the planet of the Current Issues Forum to establish a base-- being allowed to trespass on Skelly Bone's property-- the Inheritanceans, after facing a time of grief, and sporadic fighting with the enemy, went and readied themselves for war. Michelangelo presented to the salesman of smoothies, Tyrant (who's apprentice Stryker had been lost in the fray) the plans for a vessel for star-faring.

Daociro, one of the people present during the events of the Inheritance Forum Awards, went and brought to himself a company of persons able for combat: Eyes the Questionable, Camthalion the Wary, Hvreslgr the Anorexic Snowman, Celephon the Etherful, and Amantila the Elfin. All went with the armies of Inheritance through the fathoms of space to the location of the enemy. As they exited Inheritance's atmosphere, Amantila, wisest in lore among Daociro's crew, noted the Mozilla Firefox, which cast its flames across the black depths of the internet sky.

The two armadas met in dire combat in the cosmos over the Current Issues Planet: The Inheritanceans commanded by Michelangelo, the High Lord; and Nicholas the Engineer. The Draconians commanded by Imperitus Maximus Randomic, Sergeant Major Jefferson, and Morzan the Dark Lord of the Armies. Though the fighting was fierce and lasted for six chapters, the battle ended in favor of the Inheritanceans with aid of Sethirus who, though allegedly ill and dying, came down in the form of a giant ball of charged glass. With the battle having been one, the Inheritanceans now set their sites on the base of the enemy.

Chapter One
The Entente

The Battle between the two sides had come to an end, Sergeant Major Jefferson went in full retreat from the invading forces of Inheritance; his armies in tow. It would not be long until the opposing forces would go in pursuit of this menace of the skies.
Yet onboard the Fusilier, the discovery was made by Daociro and kin that two of their own: Carnoc and Hvreslgr had gone missing in action. Furthermore, intercepted transmissions indicated that Hvreslgr had been captured, as well as a large section of the Inheritance Fighter Force. Now the urgency was direr than ever to land upon the planet.
But on the planet itself, a direr plot had been revealed, driven to action, Randomic announced his entente and alliance with both the Felagund and Helgrind Empires! In the dead of night while the Inheritance slept they managed to arrive upon the planet unseen, and established themselves. Now the task of arriving on the planet was to become more perilous than ever, though it was the sworn duty of the Inheritance to get their men out of there, no matter what the stakes...

There was a rumble of thunder on the Current Issues Planet; it was strange in this part of the alien year for there to be a thunderstorm in that region. Strange too was it that dust was being blown about, in this relatively calm part of the year. Then, as the full flaming bulk of the Ring Ding Ingek Class Nurse Ship came crashing down upon the earth, it was realized why the weather seemed so foul.

The gun towers on the horizon rose over a sheer cliff, their turrets alight and blazing. The Grenadier coasted downward, in pursuit came a division KGS Transports, which ground to a dead halt upon the earth, dust rose about them in a thick plume. And through it roared forth a wave of levitating, twin-barreled Prowling Tiger Tanks; and the other armed forces of the Inheritance Army.

Daociro flew ahead on an Ingek-Class Quin-Fighter. From each of its wing tips he unleashed a wave of missiles, driving them headlong into the oncoming force of Draconis Entente troops.

The Helgrind came with towering Siege-Tanks; towering like a wholesome black iron wall over the field of battle, cannons riddling the front of the bulk like rivets. Its thick cumbersome treads left ten-foot deep tracks in its wake. And behind them came their vast army of soldiers, equaling the Inheritance in manpower alone one to one, but lacking significant firepower or tactics.

The Felagund came with them, not from the ground but from the air; the skies were blocked by the sheer mass of their flagship, the Home World II. Its body was broad and flat, and from its base came forth a fire and savagery that had never been seen before. Their air-attacks came in swarms, and like a swarm they only left ruin in their wake.

And the Draconis came, the Home One docked beneath the Home World II; completely cast in shadow. The entire battle, at first glance, seemed lost. But valor is the ultimately deciding factor.

"Run away! Run away!" screamed the Helgrind, as Eyesonly simply raised his sword to them.

The Siege Tanks revved forth, barraging the Tyrant-Class Battleships in a cannonade. In return the energy-shields were raised, and in retaliation they fired back with their full power. They struck the tower between the wheels and the tower itself; with a lurch it gave and fell forward onto its belly; crushing dozens of Helgrind and emitting forth a cloud of dust.

Through this once again came the Prowling-Tiger Tanks, charging headlong into the Helgrind they drove them apart; firing at the towers they send more iron bulks to their demise. Though in the skies the battle was far from well.

Daociro's ship fled forth, as a swarm of Felagund fighters went in pursuit. Fellow fighters joined him, including Soragon himself on his own customized vessel. "Daoc!" he ordered. "Hang in there buddy I'll handle this!"

Soragon swept behind the swarm pursuing Daociro, then, releasing a canister from the front of the ship, he parted. The canister pursued the swarm like they pursued their prey. And then, with the resounding sound crackle of thunder, like a depth charge in the air the canister ignited. The swarm stopped mid-flight, twitched and sparked, and then fell limp to the battle torrent below.

Onboard the Home World II, Sergeant Major Jefferson met with Lady Akania; her opulent bulky body sprawled across a red velvet chair, her hair worn in an obtuse gray wig.
"How now iz diz battle goingk sir?"

"Very well, Madame." Sergeant Major Jefferson bowed, with respect to her.

"Ar you surre? I hof to tell you, I do not trust deez Helgrindd."

"How come, Madame?"

"Dey ah, how now dooz one say, in-competent, nevor hof I seen dem vin von battel. Hof you sir?"

Sergeant Major Jefferson paused, and realized that she was right; he'd never seem them in battle, and perhaps they were not the same allies that Randomic had made them to be.

"No, I have not my lady. Excuse me please for one moment."

"Very vell."

Sergeant sauntered out of the room, the moment the door closed; he bolted for the Home One, where he could see the battle for himself.

Another Helgrind tower crumpled, the Helgrind armies parted making for the towers behind them. As they did the Prowling Tiger tanks surged forward, suffering minimalistic causalities in their assault. They had progressed well across the field to the cliff-face, and the towers.

The towers sent hell-fire upon the men, here is where the casualties at last began to mount for the Inheritance. No laser could pierce them from afar, for their shields were stronger than any made before them yet. And not even the Tyrant Class Battleships could wholly deflect their beams, so thus they stayed afar, unable to provide much needed assistance.

Daociro's ship dove once again, for another swarm had gone in pursuit. As his ship twisted and morphed, trying in near vain to escape, genius struck him. Accelerating his ship forward, he went straight for the towers.

The towers spotted him, and began to fire; as they did Daociro spun about, the lasers of the towers grazing past him, striking the swarm instead.

He came closer still, until he was so close the towers could not see him. Only the Helgrind men guarding him could, in panic they fired at the Inheritance ship; their shots would miss and strike the swarm instead. Daociro slanted to the side, and drove his ship upward towards the tower.

The swarm did the same, round and round they went. Every turn he made he would progress ever closer to the tower; the swarm would copy, and suddenly they came so close they ground against the walls of the tower. Blood rushed to Daociro's head, twice he nearly fainted, but then nearly upon the third time two resounding cracks awoke him. The first crack was the walls of the tower wall busting on the left side.

The second was the top wing of Daociro's ship breaking off.

His ship tossed about, hurtling almost clear over the cliff to the Inheritance side; but instead, at the last moment, it turned and hurtled back towards the Draconian side, away from the fray. The swarm dazed and confused, finished the work he'd started. They cut into the tower side so deep, it waned and crumpled. Tipping to the left, the right side now began to buckle as well; it groaned in agony, as the Helgrind parted, making way for the tower to utterly collapse upon the other. The two of them shifted now, and together they came down upon the Ravine where the Helgrind now retreated.

The Home One and the Home World II also parted; Sergeant had backed on his word, and realized the truth of Akania's statement. The Helgrind remaining on the Inheritance side, surrendered. Some continued to fight in vain, but the weakness of their onslaught led them to inevitable capture.

Back at the Grenadier, Officer Banger announced Inheritance's victory over the Draconis Entente. "Good very good. Here then, we shall make camp. By the end of the week we make across the ravine to the Castle of the 'Are Fortresses really useful anymore' Region. Looking across the field, beyond the rubble and ruin of the towers, against the red setting sun, rose the Ziggurat of Draconis.

Eyes intervened. "While that's all very nice... Where's Daociro?"

Chapter Two
The Missing

Darkness.

Nighttime came over the land in a silent murmur. There were no birds which sang, no moon to fill the sky, no stars to show whence they'd come. Only the light of their lamps which buzzed aback the howling of the wretched sands and the harsh gusts.

"Daociro!" Amantila screamed into the maelstrom. Somewhere out in the velvet dark her echo cried back, but was muffled and restrained by the fingers of night and the desert. "Daociro!" her echo screamed in reply, but the louder her screams the more fiercely her captor held her back.

Camthalion knelt down besides an Inheritancean, "This one may yet be alive... Croatia! Get your medics over here quickly! Take him back to the ship!"

"Are you sure he's a m-?"

"GO!"

"Yes, my mesne!"

"And for Michelangelo's Sake, put down that damned thesaurus!"

"Y-"

A maelstrum muffled his reply and he hurried back to the ship, dropping his thesaurus in the sands.

"DAOCIRO!" Amantila screamed.

The wind died down enough for her echo to reply, when she looked to see where the voice had come she raised her lamp to see they were right outside the valley between the two fronts.

"We're going this way!" Amantila ordered over the winds.

Soragon hovered over them in his craft, dropping from its own cargo bay small things that resembled earrings.

"PUT THOSE ON, YOU LOT!" Tyrant bellowed over the sands, having returned to his girlish form from several chapters earlier. The sands didn't dare muffle his voice. "THOSE ACT AS EARPHONES! IT'S TO MAKE SURE I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP YELLING LIKE THIS! DAMMIT!"

Camthalion managed to catch hers in her hand extended skyward, she put it on her left ear and immediately all other sounds were drowned out save the voices of the other bearers of like earrings.

"You know this was a really cool idea!" Soragon said.

"Of course it's a cool idea, I came up with it." said Tyrant, in his default masculine voice.

"I can hear everything you two are saying." said Amantila, who had put it on her right ear.

"Oh right." went Soragon "Well. You guys if you look up ahead I think I see something, in that valley."

They approached with caution, lamps held high in the night air, gusting. Although the light was dim, the sun was just barely precieving the notion of daylight once again, Amantila could see with her elfin eyes the site quite clearly.

It was an Ingek-Class Quin-Fighter, with it's top wing torn off.

There was no need to scream out his name, for she also saw that the pilot's chair was vacant, the glass shattered and hatch opened.

And she also saw, beyond the precipice of the land, against the rising run, a figure made of bones.

Chapter Three
Draconian Law

A servant knelt down before feet of Lord Randomic, his iron knuckles trembling. The dark night crept into the room that lay beneath the roof, where Yoli lie in chains.

"And for all your loyalty you hand me this disgrace."

"My lord." the Servant replied. "I beseech you; my armies were not --"

"WE WE'RE DEFEATED -- ON OUR OWN HOME FRONT! IN OUR OWN KINGDOM!" Randomic's eyes flared a daring red, as though wishing the servant would interrupt him. He did not.

"In the realm of the Kingdom To Come. Our war, raged to secure a brighter future for our denomination. The Draconians, the rightful leaders of the Galaxy of Inheritance. The Draconians, the purest. The Ancient Lords of Dragons, who reigned o'er the relinquished throne of Shurtugal. Who were cheated in a duel by the first Aht-min; father of Michelangelo. Who lost all claim to our dragons and our acres. Who should command unto them ethos and authority, but nigh only pathos and pity... Why do you betray me in this way?" Randomic looked at him long and hard. "Why do you betray yourself, betray us all, betray them, your own people? And the memory of Morzan, for whom you have replaced."

The servant was silent, the red eyes from under his metal iron hood looking downward.

"You would consider me an odd character wouldn't you... I am irate. Yet I am kind." Randomic walked and looked out over the ramparts, through the hollow alcove. The gleam of the waking sun nearly catching his eye. "I am beyond the needs of a concrete and likable personality at this stage, for I have but one goal. One vision. The return of our Kingdom and the restoration of the Dragons to Inheritance -- to Shur'tugal -- You should know this, for the Helgrind and Draconis were once one state." Randomic looked downward and smirked. "The Felagund were never among us -- they are of mere convenience -- and which ever other allies enter the fray at this stage."

"My Lord, you are monologuing to no apparent --"

"OF COURSE I'M MONOLOGUING!" Randomic spat with white hot coals in his chest.

"Of course, my lord."

Randomic looked at him and chortled a little to himself. "You're unwavering loyalty humors me." Randomic turned away, "Do me the favor of offering your blood as libation."

The servant looked up at him through his visor, his red eyes gleaming against the black shadow of the helm in a worried stare. "As a servant am I not obliged to show loyalty? And do you verily ask this of me?"

Randomic smiled, "Of course, anything to appease your travesty as of yesterday -- unless of course you don't wish to be forgiven?" Randomic kept his smile sadistic, but his eyes cast an evil leer.

The servant lowered his head, pulled out a knife and brought it to his wrist.

The scream awoke Yoli, who with a firm ego response thought to herself. "Great, now our villains are going ultra-emo... SASUKE NOOOOOO!!!" She shook her head and went back to sleep both wildly disturbed, slighty humored, and disgusted at the very thought of Naruto.

On a totally unrelated note, should I repost the original War of the Inheritance Forums?

Probably, because most people who read this now will have no idea who half the people are.

I posted it up, and I'm an idiot. I just realized the woeful inconsistencies I've accidentally established; I've gone and fixed them.
