Nice! I really like the third phoenix and the *Green dragon thingy*. I've got a crit and a tip for you though. The second's (and partly the third's) eye is a bit out of place... Try and move it a bit upward, towards the forehead. Tip: Emphasis on a sharper beak will give them a savage, wilder look, alike the emphasis on the feathers and eyes make them graceful and plain cute. Quite creative, keep it up D.gif

Very nice, I like it.

The critique for the first three is generally all the same. The eyes are very large, and I think it would do to make them smaller. It would help to go and study pictures of birds, so you could get an idea for it. Their eyes are very different from a persons, so it'd be good to look.

And the green dragon; Its wing is a bit odd, and perhaps you should add the other one, for if its standing sideways, I think we should be able to see it. The shape of the body could use some work also.

Hope to see more soon!

FABULOUSSSSS!!

hmmmm. I'll think about doing that when I do some more.

You can see the other wing very slightly on the left side. (I made it slightly darker)

Okay. Ill try that.

Hmm on some of the phoenix's, you forget the jaw-line. But on the blue one and the orange one, you have that down. The green one too. But I like the blue one from the new batch a lot.

I really like the green phoenix. And the duckies are so cuuute!! As for the new batch, I like the blue one. For the gray one, his bottom beak seems too big, and his neck looks really stiff and unnaturally straight. Try to separate it from the head, like you did with the blue one. And as BTF said, jawline. Otherwise, great work! I envy you and your ability to add color to your work. ).gif

I hate the blue one. I re-did it, I'll post a pic.

I've redone the grey one as well. Still looks completely rubbish, but the neck isn't as stiff.

Here are the new ones:

redone greyey:

Did you change the style of the eyes in the first two? It looks like they changed, and it looks good. My favorite one is the first one; since the coloring is smoother here. Me? I don't color, and don't often have the patience to. Its a good thing that you can.

Your reworked gray bird could use some changes on the beak. In many interpretations of phoenixes the top part of the beak is very curved at the end (So the pointed part is pointing down) and the bottom section isn't much larger. With eagles, the bottom part is much smaller, if that helps any.

Yeahh, thanks

Personally I didn't like the re-done grey one. Did everyone else like it? I thought the eye was too far back, but hey ho.

yeah, the eye is too far back on the grey one and it looks kinda stiff, but I really like the blue one( both the original and the redone one). I like the orange bird and the green, furry dragon (pretty darn sweet).

Furry dragon? what, the green one, its scaly!

In the last year, I have done a larger than A3 size drawing of the cover pics of Saphira and Thorn.

Here they are:
