Anyone had any really strange temptations while writing?

I once wanted to Rick Roll all my characters, as well as anyone reading. It was a crime story I was writing, and one character was messing with a radio. I nearly had the radio switch to a station with the Rick Roll song playing.

I'm too lazy to type out the song's real name. Sue me.

Hmm I have had temptations to take already graphic disturbing things such as rape and make them even more disturbing. This of course would give into my insanity so I avoid these temptations so readers are not so disturbed they stop reading. I've also wanted to just unexpectedly kill them in unepic ways such as random car bombs or choking on breakfast which I do decide to do sometimes.

The only temptation I can remember not following through with was making an out-of-the-blue reference to mistreating miniature dachshunds as doorstops. I think I was sleep-deprived at the time. Well, I say I didn't follow through with it, but I only removed it when I wrote the second draft. The beta-readers helped to force my hand.

I have strange temptations with my Sverd Shelgr characters all the time, and thankfully (or not so thankfully for readers) I usually get to follow through with them. Including the characters having a dance-off, like Ben was tempted to do.

Oh yeah, murdering characters is always a temptation. I'm lucky I have any characters that have survived. XD

Ive wanted to make my characters look stupid - like, make them walk into a wall or something.

Like Ganashi said, I've always wanted to kill my characters in random ways that kill everyday people all the time, like car crashes or a heart or an aneurysm. Especially the last one, sort of as a way of getting back at God/whatever your believe in for killing my great grandfather that way. But it would be too anit-climatic for the reader to find the character that they've followed for however many pages suddenly die of something common and un-epic.

I sometimes want to insert random Looney Tunes characters in my stories to mess with my characters. Or make one of my characters drink something that will give him or her Elmer Fudd's voice.

I was once tempted to reveal that Rob the raccoon was actually a skunk named Roberta. I had writer's block, and it was my friend's suggestion. I was actually tempted, but needless to say I resisted.

Cliffside barfights are my worst temptations. Especially between midgets. I just somehow can't seem to get drunk midgets to fight off the edge of a cliff. Ahem excuse me... "Little People" for those who want me to be politically correct.
