Feel like I've gotten a bit better since my last batch of stuff. Here's some girl I drew randomly.

Some girl.

Some guy.

And that's what I got.

Ben

I hate you.

You're good at writing, and what's this? You can draw too? Ugh.

Next thing you know, I'll be doing manga--just to make you jealous. Although there's really nothing to be jealous of, as I sort of suck xD

Those are really cool!! I like them!

These are a lot different than most the stuff on here... it's refreshing!

First girl: I think this one was very nice. Her facial expression is very nice. Makes her look dreamy, I like that. I cannot see the nose, but I know that it is there. Maybe a little touch up on that? It's a certain style, so you can do whatever you'd like. I can't control you p.gif. Her hair is very, very nice. I love the flow and direction it goes. I really like the bangs, a very nice touch. Her hair is shorter than many girls, there are alot who have long hair, it has uniqueness (Wow, I totally spelled that wrong, I think). I really like her ear poking out of her hair, looks really cool.

I like her shirt and her pants. Her shirt has like a long shirt underneath and a t-shirt over it, I really love that type of style. Her pants are also nice, too. Baggy and like...parachute pants, I think? Sorry I just heard of that and I think that's what they look like. Her body posture looks like she is shy, maybe.

Second girl: Ha ha, it was a nice random draw. Wow, her hair is so amazing. I like the strokes that you used with the (Pencil?). I really like how her ear pokes out again like the other picture. Did it take long? Her eyes were drawn very well. I really like how the light shines off of it. He he, her nose looks like it shows more than the other picture. I like that. Sorry, I'm more of a perfectionist or someone who likes every detail. The shading is drawn very nice, drawn lightly.

Her dress looks very summery. I like the straps of the dress. It's somewhat plain, but it looks very nice, anyway. Plain is good, doesn't matter if it's detailed or just plain white. You can really see arm. At first, I didn't know what it was, but then I looked more closely and saw that it was the arm.

Some guy: I only see one thing strange. It looked like his eyes were...I don't know, alittle messed up? Unless I am mistaken, go ahead and tell me. Nice glasses. I can see the mustache, very nice touch (I know I say that alot, but I really do mean it). The hair looks nice, kinda cropish and flurried. Nice ear p.gif. Is he smoking? I don't know...maybe I don't like it, I guess.

Nice clothes, looks like he is just strolling on, having a nice day. The jeans are normal and original, very nice. Originality is very good, but some nice made-up things are cool, too (I'm not saying that you're to much original, don't get me wrong).

Overall view: I really liked the three pictures, especially the first girl. I liked her the best. You have a really good hand because you write and draw. I didn't know that you drew very well. I guess you are very gifted with this stuff. I really like your work, I'd like to see more ).gif

My novel: Deep DepthsThe sequel: Midnight Eclipse

He gave her twelve roses. Eleven were real and one was fake. He said, "I'll love you 'til the last one dies."

WAY to be extensively awesome at everything, Ben. WAY. =] I like them lots, they're really good.

I don't really know of any girl that wears cargo pants/shorts any more, but that might just be my school...home of the skinny jean/Ugg/short shorts/etc. =P Or maybe you just wanted to give her a unique, more tomboyish style, which you did, it's not like it detracts from the picture or anything, just different. She was pretty. =]

I really like the second girl's dress, too, I used to have one like that when I was little, 'cept I was chubby so I didn't look as pretty (though I was still pretty damn adorable! =D) and I had curly hair and yeah, I basically didn't look anything like that, but it still reminded me of it!

And that guy...yeah I agree with that one person who said his eyes looked messed up, 'cause they did. =P But his glasses/nose/sexy cigarette smoking (usually I'm opposed...but that guy makes it look so cool, he should be a Camel (or your smoke of choice) ad...'cause he'd totally make me buy them. XD I like his hair and button-up-shirt-over-wife-beater ensemble (that's what it looks like, anyways), and you know what he TOTALLY reminds me of? Nick from Saving Nicholas! That's what I always envisioned him as! =O I was like "holy sockmonkies!"

I didn't know Nick smoked =O. I'll have to ask Janna.

I actually had characters in mind for all these. The guy is technically an early version of Roman from Endoflux. The girl in the cargos is Danielle from Hellion, and the middle girl is... I dunno. Someone? xD

It was a big thing at my school around 2003-2006. We had a dress code and you weren't allowed to wear jeans. =(

Thanks for the comments. I really appreciate it ^_^

Well, possibly Nick doesn't smoke (I don't remember >_<), but he seems like the kind of guy that would if he did, and the whole rest of him looks Nickish. =P

The middle girl...I'm trying to think of your stories that have littler kids...I don't remember what it's called, it might've been Endoflux but I haven't brushed up on my Ben lately, the one where they wake up in some thing in space and they're all grown up...it could be the girl before she's grown up? =O

Lily? I drew her once in 2006. I really didn't like her as a character, so I never drew her. She *could* be Victoria from Endoflux. But the demeanor isn't necessarily like her. Victoria is more happy go lucky.

I seriously have no idea then. =D It could just be some girl, I suppose, those are always nice.

Sometimes character images develop from the sketches I do of them. Up until recently, I was really bad at using my minds eye with that sort of thing. Faces were always fuzzy. In my earlier stuff, I actually viewed them as cartoon characters xD. Now that I'm viewing them as real people, its getting difficult to translate my drawings into stuff that resembles them. That, and my stuff just "hops" onto the page. I don't get ideas, and draw. I sit down, draw, and whatever comes out, comes out.

So basically, she may really just be "some girl." biggrin.gif

Well, really, everyone you pass on the street is just "some girl" or "some guy" until you know them...so it's not like her being "some girl" means she isn't someone...because she is...and she could be someone in the future...even though she's just a picture. =O Weird.

But yeah, I'm pretty much the opposite and kinda the same...I can envision and stuff but I can't...draw or paint or anything 'cuz it never turns out right. I can see HOW I want it to look, I just can't make it look like that, which is why I sort of go overboard with description when I write sometimes because it's the only way other people will know what they look like (unless I get inspired from some picture). =] Seems like you're doing pretty good with whatever you're doing, 'cuz "some girl" is really awesome and I could totally see how she would be if she was a real person, like if you saw "some girl" on the street and you unconsciously brought up her image and based your drawing off it I can see how she would look and how she would be...if you understand. =P

Working on some new ones, so here are some oldies.

So, I have a massive, massive cute complex. I never finished this one. In fact, I don't have any idea where this one is. Probably on my flashdrive, or dead laptop, but this one still deserves some kind of showing. I drew this in March/April of this year. This shows a method of sketching I was working on then, that in retrospect actually worked pretty well. Never got a chance to ink it. Actually, I started, but I need to find the stupid file x.x;

This is actually a character from an old-old story of mine called "What Love Sounds Like," which I wrote way back in 2007 or something. This is Fiona. Note I actually bothered coloring this, although the colorization kind of sucks. Sucks massively. While on fire. But yeah, here it is. biggrin.gif
