Oooh I have the Bamboo tablet, too. It's the small silver one, and I love it... whenever I get the chance to use it, that is. I've done a few things with it already, but unfortunately I don't have much time to play around with it as much anymore. It's definitely my new pencil and paper though. I actually prefer creating art on there than the conventional way.

Yeah Allera, mine is black, and I love sketching and coloring with it -- the pressure sensitivity and eraser end are really useful (I use it with Gimp and Fireworks).

I need a decent tablet. Just been using a mouse thusfar xP.
Me too. =(
So are they useful for drawing stuff? Do they come to near pen quality stuff?

The only real thing that's awkward about them is getting used to it -- they don't work like laptop touchpads; the surface has a correspondence with the points of the screen, so if you hold the pen up out of range, then lower it to a different place, the cursor will 'teleport.' I definitely recommend the Wacom Bamboo -- there is both a Bamboo and a Bamboo Fun. I would recommend the Bamboo, since the Bamboo Fun comes with a couple of uneeded things that make it more expensive, i.e. a mouse, graphics software, and a pressure-sensitive eraser.

Actually, I like that it has a pressure-sensitive eraser. The graphics software helps sometimes, but it's not real necessary I guess. And the mouse is blah. It only works on the tablet, and the tablet isn't that big (mine isn't, anyway), so you end up struggling to use the mouse. I generally stick with the pen anyway, though. I loves it... even though I can't use it now because my laptop is broken AGAIN.

I don't have one, always wanted one, but then again id really like to have the Cintiq 21UX. That thing looks outstanding! And the stuff I could work up for customers on that bad boy! May have to put that on the Yes I Need It, Must Have It list!! (since its for business, yes I can indeed write it off!
