Haha, idiotic title.



Tried smudging more. Not happy with the left side.


From scratch. it feels empty, and I dunno what to add.

Ah, I have an idea what to add to the second one: a 'stripe' using a linear gradient going from transparent to yellow to pink to transparent, but with the yellow and pink 'squished' in the middle to make a band. Then put it on top with of course low opacity, so that the band goes diagonally across in the opposite direction of the current diagonal. It's kinda hard to describe what I mean, but hopefully you get it. ).gif

Thanks for the idea, I tried it but it didn't look good.

I tried adding splatters and scanlines:





I like it better.

Yep, much improved, I'd just watermark the heart one, but don't include the full text, good job =D.

The first one needs some work, it looks incomplete. I thought the smudging on the left hand side of the first one was pretty good really, you absolutely nailed the flow, it's just that there isn't enough in the background, and the colours don't really fit together too well IMO. On the right hand side, I felt that if you want some of the smudge to go over the subject, then you should try and integrate him a little more. maybe a little further up as well. Currently he looks separate from the background, except in one small place. Doesn't look quite right.

I think you have the smudging technique down nicely though, interesting brush strokes that create a cool pattern and flow, very nice ^_^.
