Aragorn sig I don't like it, C&C urgent!

There is something I don't like and I cannot put my ifnger on it.

Perhaps it is the tree? Its abit...scraggely or how ever that is spelt.

Well it isn't very Aragorn-ish. Try making it a matte brown background, without all of the wierd lighting.

The colours don't match very well. He sticks out too much.

I think it's that he has dark hair, a dark beard, but he's on a very light background. You seem to be on the right track by darkening things up, but maybe you should make the swirls near him in your first change even darker.

Also, is that the same tree as the one in your signature picture?

I think it's just the colors. Your background is bright orange, and Aragorn is a dark brown. Think about Aragorn, and the colors you associate with his character. Then try to incorporate those into your signature. You might also want to try some different brushes other than swirls. Aragorn isn't an elegant character, he's very hard and rugged. Use brushes that compliment that.
