I think the text would throw it off. Plus, there aren't many sigs anymore without text, and sometimes it gets annoying.

K, I'ma just say this now, follow the rules or don't post here at all. I could point out a ton of flaws, but I am not a jerk and it is better for the creator to find them out for themselves. The two things I will mention is the Link render and the other render on the right doesn't really help with the tag. Second, Rarely do Transparent renders work. Try putting Zelda's Opacity to 100%. It really takes away from the render. Text isn't needed, but can add another element to the tag. If your bad with text, don't put it on until you are satisfied with your text.

EDIT* Oh, and as for placement, the best spots to put text are near the render/focus, so as to not draw away from your focus area.

Sorry, how does pointing out flaws make you a jerk? It's called constructive criticism, and if the creator can't take it, he/she just shouldn't post it in a graphics forum, asking for comments/crit.

Everything else he said was right, anyway. You should try smudging a bit more, adding new colours and smudging them on new layers. Also try smudging details in. Decent job, though.

Yeah, I was going to say the same.

Where did you get the brushes from?

Thanks for the comments everybody. ).gif I worked with what you guys said. I didn't know which colors to add though. But I smudged a whole lot, I don't know if I over worked it a little. But meh, I'm just a beginner.

As for brushes question.gif I only used the standard ones Palagrin.

New version, changed the opacity and composition, and moved the transparent renders around. All feedback is appreciated ).gif I think the upper left space is a little empty, but I don't know what to put there.

The render still looks a bit...Blurry. i think it should be a bit more solid.

I love the smudgy swirl, that is just cool!

That second version is MUCH better than the first one. The comment about bringing the opacity up to 100% was spot on.Great use of smudging, as well. THAT is truly awesome. It could use a little more color, sure, but it's great for a beginner!

You could try modifying the colours with gradient maps, or color balances, hue-saturation maps. Or even brushing over places you want to add colour with a soft brush-set the layer on overlay or colour, and reduce opacity. What program do you use?

And the new version is a lot better, very nice smudge. Though it would look better if it was on the other side of the render, good job!

Palagrin, thanks. But yeah, I'm not sure I want to change the blurryness on the render because it's supposed to be her in the twilight right. I'm not sure if you ever played ZeldaTP, but it kinda looks like that. Besides I wouldn't know how to make it less blurry now. But I can try, and see how I like it.

And Erebus Deathbrand, thank you for the praise ).gif I'll try to add some more colors to the sig.

Beefstew, I use Gimp. I'm planning to get photoshop but I can't afford it (or be bothered to download a cracked version, shhhhh! XD And you're right, the swirl would look much better on the other side. Arg... Noo. Well, I'll change it around when I have time.

Thanks for all the comments people, I really appreciate it ).gif

You could probably get student discount.

I use Gimp too.

I can't afford anything as I'm paying for driving lessons and saving up for Roskilde this summer. Maybe later ).gif

Oh, new version. I played around with some colors and moved the twirl to the other side. I'm not sure about the blue on the right and I can't decide whether or not to have that black thing on the side. But yeah, I think it turned out pretty cool.. A little overkill maybe question.gif I think it turned out a little too smudgy now..

The second one is better. I like how bright the earrings are, they draw little enough attention so that it's not annoying but they still stand out nicely.

I'd make the thing hanging down on her forehead a little more star like, so it matches the earrings.
