First things first: Please DO NOT use these drawings. If you do, the consequences are severly large.

Ok, this is the ONLY art I will post on IF. EVER.
I know I stink, and I only did this because I was gonna die of boredom.

I'm still not done with it. Can I have some tips on the background? I was thinking "Shading" it from really dark, to lighter. Starting from the head.

I refuse to give advice until you post more art and change your title to "Mythirions art of accomplishment"....Aha, just kidding. But yous should really post more art.

I advice against shading the background from dark to light. I think it would detract from the art. Sometimes it is best just to leave it where it is. If you do a background at all, I think you should make it very light.

FABULOUSSSSS!!

Failure? This is great! Very good job with the shading! As for the background, I agree with Pixel.

Hehe thanks guys! I'll do the shading and all that soon. And MAYBE just maybe, I might post more. Just one thing, should I make the background ONE light color?

I don't know about that exactly. You might just have to experiment. As long as it's all lighter than the main part of the whole drawing, I think you'll be good.

FABULOUSSSSS!!

I decided not to do it. It might mess it up, and I'm not good at coloring the whole paper one color...

That's pretty good! I'm not really sure about shading the background dark or light, since shading is not my best area. I think it's best too leave it alone.
If anyone is interested. I updated my art thread.

I love the pegasus, it is beautiful. Your art is not fail; it is awesomly good!

^I agree with Palagrin but I don't agree with your thread title. It's SO NOT a failure...

Another agree from me!

TOTALLY NOT A FAILURE!

Keep working, let's see what you can do!

You can draw clouds! Gosh, I wish I could, but the whole "fluffy" concept just escapes me. So when it comes to drawing those I usually am just goofing around and making really simple ones.

Anyways, I like the Pegasus! The feathers look great, but since there are only two or three rows, and they are pretty large, the wing itself seems to lack structure, or looks flimsy. Maybe smaller feathers, and more rows would change that, I'm not exactly sure.

I like your Wolf Spirit too! It's very distinctive.

By the way, do you use mechanical pencils or wood? Mechanical pencils sort of make your shading different, depending on the lead size. Wood pencils sort of leave white spaces that you might have to go back over. I prefer mechanical or the expensive ones that are all graphite through and through, those are nice.

FABULOUSSSSS!!

It's amazing. I can't draw that well. I think you need to avoid prefacing your work with "IT stinks" that is called fishing for compliments. I think it would be better if it were white on black, but that might just be me.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'll keep working on it.
And, I use mechanical pencil since you can get more detail, and it's easier with shading. I sometimes use wood, but only when im out of lead. ).gif

Amazing art Mythirion! It is not a failure. If I could write as well as you can draw, I wouldnt be here! I think the untitled work should be called Ying-Yang Mist or something along those lines. When will the next art be posted? i will enjoy seeing them.

Maybe next should be a pheonix, as you seem to like them looking at your profile
