Hiya. I was just rereading Speaker for the Dead and was wondering if anyone else has been enchanted by Mister Card.

I love Enders Game. Its one of my all time favorite books, which is saying something, since I usually don't care for science fiction. I've never read Speaker for the Dead, though; is it as good as the first one?

Speaker of the Dead is fantastic! possibly even better than Ender's Game, the first chapter is a little slow though, if its confusing you can skip chapter one then read it when it makes sense.

The Ender's Game and Ender's shadow are some of my favorite series. I finished the Ender's Game series and am currently reading Shadow Puppets. I love Bean, he makes me laugh.
Real LOTR fans know it's not actually a trilogy.

Enchanted? Freak I'm obsessed!! I think the shadow series is more interesting than the Speaker for the Dead and the books after that. Not by much though. I own almost all of these books and am still working on my collection. I'm currently reading the Alvin Maker series although it's not as enthralling as Ender. Check out his website INTERGALACTIC MEDICINE SHOW it has a lot of new stuff from him and some good stuff from other people too!

I seriously just finished reading Ender's Game yesterday. That's the only one I have read. Did you here the are coming out with a video game about the Game Battles. What's the sequel about?

Can't tell you what the sequels about, suffice to say that (in my opinion) the only reason that one should read Ender's Game is so that they can read Speaker for the Dead, which is almost infinitely better, and believe me, thats saying something. Thats all just my opinion of course.

There is also another series that goes along with Ender's Game. The first book is Ender's Shadow and it's about one of the members of Ender's army and his life in and after Battle School. Excellent reading.

I found Xenocide in my Bookshelf by Orson Scott Card and there wasn't a back cover. Does anyone know what that is about?

Correct me if I'm wrong 'cause I don't own any of the books. I think Xenocide is the sequel to Speaker for the Dead.

I really hate double posting but....

I picked up Speaker For The Dead and Ender's Shadow today, and I love Shadow so far. I've only gotten a few chapters into Speaker, but it seems to start off slowly, but I'm sure it's worth the wait.

I just gave my boyfriend Enders Game to read a few weeks ago, since he's a bit of a science fiction geek and I thought he'd like it. Now he's looking for Speaker For the Dead everywhere. So I'm probably going to be able to read that soon, since hes promised to let me borrow it after he's done...
