How would you describe the metal things on his back. In my story, some of the characters have these metal limbs, but I don't think my description is very good.

So, I need help.

TYIA.

Do you have a picture of sorts? That'll give me a base from which to describe. However, i'll give it a shot...

Spidery pincers hung over the armour's reinforced helmet, the claws ready to rip and tear at the frail bodies of opponents.

That's my guess. I like knowing how the things move and act though, also what kind of image you want to get across.

BAsically, the characters have many bionic parts. And they have 4 or 6 of these kind of things implanted into his back. No armour or anything. They are not evil or good as such, just part of what ever character they are implanted on.

Apendages? (dang, this computer lacks spellcheck) Apendages would be my guess.
