How are Murtagh and Galbatorix abloe to access their hearts in Urubaen from Gilead? While in Murtaugh's mind Eragon noticed that there were multiple consciouces in his mind. I believe that this is reasonable belief to think that They somehow managed to tear the Dragon from his Eldunari, and trap them inside of their body

Hmm, does it ever say exactly how Eldunari work? Perhaps Murtagh has them stashed somewhere nearby, or can simply access them from a distance, or perhaps being exposed to them makes him powerful enough to access them from a distance.
Though it is a good question and I wonder. -------------------- "Listen to me, Shadeslayer, I saw your brother, and he burned. But he did not burn like you. Oh no. The Light from his soul shone through him, as if it came from somewhere else."

accessing Eldunari when you have broken theyre minds... Otherwise it might just be like having a contact with a dragon? How far does that connection last for anyways?

Have you ever thought that he got 3 or 4 Eldunarya from Galbatorix that he keeps with him. That would make the most sense to me.
Also he gave Eragon a hint in Eldest: "Better to tear out my hearts." Now where his hearts are kept is unknown but it shows that they are HIS Eldunari that Galbatorix gave him. -------------------- PLEASE READ MY NEW FANFIC! AND LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS.

I think the most reasonable, safe, logical and most useful way for Galby would be for Thorn to give him his Eldunari and put it together with the stash of other eldunari, this way he keeps control of Thorn and hence Murtagh, while also allowing for Thorn to touch the mind of the other dragons and so access their energy.
The other way of course, and the one I think is the most reasonable is for him to carry the eldunari, which I don't think would be too difficult, and it is said that there is no need to reach with the mind, touching them or having them close enough is enough to be able to access their minds, look at Eragon and Glaedr and how it was possible for Glaedr to touch his mind even when they where fighting M&T. I think the easiest way to access it is to fly with it. Eragon always has Glaedr's eldunari in Saphira's saddlebags, so maybe Murtagh does the same.

Yes, i also think he just had the Eldunari in his saddlebags. I don't think Galby would have found a way to engorge the power of the eldunari inside his own body. If CP wrote this, Eragon couldn't seperate him anymore of the eldunari, thus having absolutely no chance of defeating him.
The thought of Galby forcing Thorn to give him his HoH could prove true, but i think that Galby would wait a bit longer to do this, so the HoH is a bit bigger and Galby has some more energy. This could also be not necessary, since he has so much HoH's, he might actually don't care about 1 small or big one more. So i couldn't really make up my mind between those 2. -------------------- It is our destiny to attempt the impossible, to accomplish great deeds regardless of fear.

They dont have saddlebags genius. Thats why were discussing this topic. Because were wondering where the Eldunari are if they arent in saddlebags. |

Wow TSC actually said what I was about to. Good job!!!
I think we will find out in the last book. Though I think that there were hints in Brisingr on that. The blind man said that he could see through Murtagh so it seems resonable to guess that they are no where near him. -------------------- |

I doubt Thorn would have ate them or engorged them in any way and unless Murtagh has a huge winter coat with tons of pockets i dont see how they are near him. |

Plus Oromis and Glaedr said there was no way to return the HoH. So if he ate them they would come out every few hours or so.

they cant be near him as the ancient HoH's are about a foot across just look at gladrs HoH the best idea is that thorns HoH is sitting with the ones that murtagh is using.

I too think that the most likely possibility is that Thorn's HoH is located somewhere with the other HoH's so that he can use their power. But that is all just my speculation. But here is probably the biggest contradiction to this: IF this turns out to be the case, then Murtagh would have NEVER been able to give Eragon any mercy. Galby would have been able to see what Murtagh was doing, same as Eragon could see what Glaedr was doing at the end Brisingr. Thoughts? -------------------- Atra esterní ono thelduin
