Okay, any discussion goes here. What do you guys think of the theme? Do you think you will enter? Which book are you going to use?

Oh, so many things I could draw; maybe it's just the thing to get me into my art again.

I hope I enter. I might do an easy fantasy book, or something like Memoirs of a Geisha, that would be nice.

Gah! Sooo many choices. It's a good thing I'm going camping for the 4th. A good healthy dose of nature always gets me inspired.

Oh, I just noticed that I've left out a few points in the other thread. I updated it, it's not a big change only added that you need to tell us which book you choose and that there's only allowed one entry per member.

I hope you'll get inspired Pixel and DIB and I hope you all three enter. I hope I'll be able to get a drawing or painting finished, because I'm going away on vacation now. But I'll be back the day before the due date. And I've asked a few other mods to look after this competition, I'll post about who you can ask questions to and similar later today.

That's great Kari&Gatomon. Okay folks, you can ask questions about the competition to Anya and Pixel, as you wont get an answer from me until the 7th. It's probably just a good idea to post your questions in this thread if you have any.

I think I might enter, although I have no idea what I'd do. I haven't done any art for a while apart from photos, and I've never really hung around in the Artists' Hangout before. I tend to focus on writing, but hey, I think I'll give it a go.

You guys should all enter. I'm really interested to see what you come up with. The competition is usually better with more entrees, as long as you really tried.

Never say that you won't win something - that just limits you. If you go into something with the idea that you might win if you put your best effort into it, you'll have a much better chance of creating something that is better quality than if you plan on losing. Of course, it's also important to not think that you're the greatest thing ever, because then you're never going to see your faults and what to improve on.
Just do your best making your entry, and enter it hoping for the best.

I might be entering, if I can finish it in time. Is it okay if I take a few details oif the work from the book's movie adaptation, not just from the book?
