I’ve had forgotten I've actually made some pics of dragons and elves… So. Here they are:

Wow, these are really good. I'm guessing you painted a lot of them, right? The first one has lots of detail. The scales are amazing. I love the color blending that you have on all of these. But did you repaint the other one, like the red or the blue, because they look very similar, except that they're facing differently.

I love the second one, probably the best. The color that you had for this, the redish, pinkish color looks perfect. The hair is very detailed, and I love how you can see each strand of hair and the way it flows. I love the shadowing. Although I think that maybe if you lighten the lips a bit more instead of having that dark color clash, you would probably be able to see more of the lip line. But I love the eyes and the design that goes out from it.

The painting is extremely detailed. How did you do it all? This looks really artistic, like extremely. And thanks for having a close up on them and then a full one to show...well, all of the painting.

I love the whitish/girl figure. I'd love to have painted that with all of the color blending...that would have been fun. But how long did this take to paint/draw/whatever? On the girl, the right hand, the fingers look a bit...I'm not sure. At the base of the fingers, it's chubby and then it goes to the tip skinny. Try and make it more finger like.

I love the lava in the background. The different shades of red and yellow really show in the painting. And the various details on the dragon's face really show. The size of the fangs and teeth (whichever you'd like to call them) really shows the 3-Dish look, like the ones curving to go in the snout like look.

I didn't find anymore mistakes, so you did a pretty good job. I'd love to see more ).gif.

First I have to say: Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I’m glad you like my artwork.

In truth, it’s been a while since I painted or drew something. These are rather old pictures, from 2007 or 08, I guess. I’m not quite sure. Since I left design-school (after a half year -.-“), I did only one or two sketches and started on another colored one, which still remains incomplete.

How long it takes me? I have basically no idea. When I come to make a picture I do it excessively. I forget everything around me.

I remember…The red-blue-dragons took me one night. I drew them on separate sheets of paper and colored them. On computer I mirrored them and put them together. I did not actually repaint one of them, but I glimpsed, from time to time, to the one, while drawing the other, that’s true.

The elf-woman was made during small lunch-break at school, which is… 15 minutes. Though I made her in 2005 or 04 she’s one of the very rare drawings I came to like somehow. About the lips you’re absolutely right. The design is something I do often. As you see on my ava.

The “friendly” guy up there is my favorite character in the book I’m currently reading. He took me one and a half hour right now. I just wanted to know, if I’m still able to hold a pencil. But the photo I took of the drawing is worse...He looks better in natura.

Drawing hands is something I’m not good in, I admit.

Mistakes. I know exactly where they are, every tiny little one of them. That’s the reason many of my pictures, well, “do not survive”.

But, yea, I’m glad you liked them.

Yay, more paintings. The one of the lady in the dress is really extravagant, very detailed. And on a lot of your paintings, I love how you have the white paint help with the windows. It really adds more to the painting, like it makes you look at the colors and vola, they see the windows. I love the color blending and the flow you had with the dress. The face looks a bit still, like she isn't moving. Fix that and it'll look amazing.

The mountains are really interesing. I love the darker side of the mountain on the far right and how you darkened the ones in the back. And I love that misty look you had in between the mountains. The sky in the back of the painting looks really interesting. I love how you blended those different shades of colors. I wish I had artistic skills like you.

I like the third one but the left wing looks really different than the one on the right. You didn't draw the individual feathers than the other one. But I do like how you took the time to paint/draw those feathers. On the right wing towards the tip, those feathers look out of the ordinary, like not like the other ones. Maybe you meant that, but I don't know.

I like the last one the best, I'm not sure why. But I do like the white and black blending to make the feathers. I really do like how you had the raven carrying a necklace with a...some sort of stone? And, the face of the raven is really cool, except the eye is watching my every move sofa.gif .

I really liked the gryphon, griphon, however you like to spell it. I suppose the left wing is a little off, but I didn't notice it until I read one of the comments. The forelegs are very interesting; they are almost fragile looking, but still dangerous.

I also like the raven because of the detail in the feathers. It's very realistic, almost like a bird pearched outside the window in winter.

Anyways, good job, and know that I am very envious of your skill.
Hey all, I'm back from the dark side, their cookies weren't very good. (Don't tell them I said that.)

Woah. I absolutely love your work here.
You got some great talent there. Wish I was half as good.

I especially liked the last one/two (They're the same on different scales) from your original post and the one with the raven. They'd be my favourite ones out of what you've made there, love all of them though. Keep up the great work.

What inspires you to make these? And do you adjust them in any computer program(me)?

Thank you!

I’m so glad you like them! You make me like them again, myself! (For I usually hate a picture, once it’s finished. Friends used to rescue them before I could destroy them.)

The “lady with the dress” as you call her, is a character of a story I wrote some time ago. She’s supposed to be that way. I made her face look like a mask, because she keeps it like a mask. She doesn’t show any hint of feeling, emotion. Maybe… have you noticed the banner above her head? It seems to emerge into a wolf. I hadn’t intended that. A friend told me.

The mountains. Oh, I had a hard time doing the mountains. They took me a while. You won’t believe, when you look at them, but they’re really, really difficult to do.

The Greif, gryphon, griphon… let’s say gryphon… The gryphon’s wing. I made it that way, so you can see the head. If I’d made it like the original one, with all the details and “strong” color, you wouldn’t see the head right away. That’s why it’s different and pale in the background. It’s a mistake I made by composing the picture.

The raven. I, as a child, had a daw for a friend. Every time I would visit her in the palace garden next to where I live, she would call out my name. I can’t remember much from my childhood, but this’s one thing I do remember. Of course a daw looks slightly different than a raven, but the face and the sparkling in these golden-yellow eyes, that is much the same.

Normally I do not change anything on them by computer. That’s the reason sometimes the photos or scans of them look worse than the original.
Only the small ones, the raven and the dragons, which I used for a website, had to be adjusted. As I said, the dragons were put on the same sheet of paper. The Raven and the ornament were two different drawings, too.

What inspires them? Well… most of them emerge in my head, in my thoughts, as you will. That’s the reason I’m writing, singing, painting, to get those pictures and tales out of my head. Sometimes I even feel like the characters I do, would tell me what exactly I had to do and what I did wrong. It’s awful… Some other are simply inspired of what I used to know. The eyes of the raven, f.e. or the mountains, ok that one wasn’t, but it would’ve been possible, since I live near the mountains. If the weather’s right, I can see them rise in the distance…

Again. Thank you for commenting!

I guess they fall under 'advertisement', which I believe is a no-go here, am I correct with that assumption?

You are a great artist. The painting of the woman in the cathedral is my favorite of your posted works. Keep it up.
