Hi, it's the first time I post my art on a own topic. And this is my first drawing with a Wacom board and OpenCanvas. What do you think?

If anyone wants a copy, PM me with your screen settings to resize properly.

PS: The background is not by me. It is the file for a PS tutorial.

Since this is a drawing (even though it's digital) I'm moving this to the Artist's Hangout.

That was a drawing? Wha? Or is it half drawing-half graphic?
Time is gold, and so is Glaedr. Does that mean time is dead too?

It is far easier than it seems, but I've spend around 8 hours with it. And I had a little help.... I got a image that looks like that one. I'm really bad at drawing something I've got no image of.... I just draw them a little better... lol.gif

This pic was originally meant for this. I've got a 22" screen and a 640x480 wallpaper doesn't really look good on it.

You can tell it is a drawing if you view the full-size image. The edges are too....ewish.

Yeah, I'm a really bad real world drawer and erase a lot, but the Wacom board allows to erase without leaving a trace, but my lines don't really get developed, especially the ones on the right lower corner.

You can make your lines a lot cleaner using a tablet if you make the image a really high resolution from the begining (300 or higher), then zoom way in (700% or so) and make the lines really clean with a 1 px brush after you've done the general lineart. It takes some time, but it makes all the lines much cleaner and the finished product a lot sharper.

Yeah, I draw using a much bigger canvas, usually around 1000x1500 or so. It allows for much greater detail. Try it, and once you do you'll feel very constrained using anything smaller. ;).gif

It's been 1680x1050 from the begining. It's only I zoomed it in way too much...

Wow, you all have tablets? I'm getting jealous...

But I have to say, thats quite an awesome drawing!

No, I didn't mean resolution as in size... I meant the pixels/inch type of resolution. I'm assuming you were using some type of Photoshop program to draw this in, in which case it should show another box for resolution right below the width and height on the image size window. The higher that number is, the more pixels you're going to have in the image, and that'll help give you cleaner lines.
