Sooo... I figure I'll start posting some of my stuff around here. I was on IF years and years ago (before any of you were! Hah! Muahahahaha! ...Or maybe not O_o), and kept meaning to put up a bunch of my poems and short stories, but never really got around to it. So here's me getting around to it, starting off with a... Very strange poem? Yes. A very strange poem.
I don't actually know if I like this, it's a bit too emo for my tastes. The funny thing is, I wasn't feeling depressed when I wrote it or anything like that, I just... Wrote it. I'm also not a fan of how it sorta-but-not-really rhymes, and how the rhythm basically doesn't exist, but... I'll leave it to you guys to point those things out for me, hehe
Oh, and I was sorta thinking of this as lyrics for a song instead of a poem, but wasn't really sure, which is why it has elements of both mediums.

Gone in My Arms
I hold you in my arms though I know that you're not breathing;
Clutch you to my chest, yet it's too late by far
You've gone and died on me. You've gone and died and now I sit here crying now you're dead and gone from me.
The poison in your veins kills each limb as it courses through my bloodstream
The knife wound in your stomach hurts to look at
You've gone and died and made my cry; you've gone and died tonight
And I've lived after you've killed all we could be
You've died.
There is nothing that I know to change this grief, say it's not so
There is no way in this life to bring you back
Your face is cold and white, and your lips say "it's alright", yet I know that it's all wrong, gone wrong somehow
'cause I hold you in my arms though I know that you're not breathing;
Clutch you to my chest, yet I'm too late by far
Your lifeblood's been spilled, your body's been killed
But how can you be gone? How can I live on? Your soul and mine are joined forever, you said that you'd be here forever, you told me you'd be near whenever I need you.
Now your body's here beside my still form, your pulse has stopped upon my deaf ears, your warmth is gone your life is gone and I feel this all though I've moved on - I feel this though I feel nothing at all.
Oblivion has come to claim you, oblivion may come and take me too
Nothing I can do can join us, now you're gone I know it's forever true.
I hold you in my arms though I know that you're not breathing;
(I stop breathing too, to be near you)
I clutch you to my chest, yet it's too late by far
Hold you in my arms, I hold you in my arms and clutch you tight
It will never ever, never ever be alright
I try to breathe, but I'm not breathing, look at you, and see you staring back at me
The poison in my veins kills each limb as it courses through my bloodstream.
The knife in my stomach hurts without looking at, I've gone and died and made you cry, I've gone and died this night
And you've lived after I've killed all that we could be were we together.
I hold you in my arms (you hold me), I clutch you close and never let go (you never let me go, you never let me go), I hold you in my arms and fade away, you clutch me tight to you and leave me, the poison in our veins destroys us both
And now we're gone - we've gone forever
And now we're gone, it's time for 'never'
Now we're gone and yet we still live on
In our love.

Very nice and sad.

*Don't follow your dreams; chase them.*
With all the pain and suffering you eventually become numb -CC

Mm, thank you ver-eh much, hehe.
Here's another one which I wrote whilst watching the ending of Arthur... Problem was, the ending ended before I did, so I had to rewind a couple of minutes back to the start of the ending to keep the feel... It was interesting. Only poem I've ever written whilst watching a movie, lol
----------------------------
.:Slowly:.
Go slowly, O knight, for beyond thy road
Lie deep shrouded shadows, yet to unfold
Like midnight's dark hour, when all we hold
Not silver of daylight, but hard and cold
Go slowly, O knight, take care lest thou fall
When fate's light shines dimly, or not at all
The higher thou climbest, the harder to crawl
When all is forgotten, stand on and stand tall
Go slowly, O knight, tread with great care
For all you've forsaken will be with thee there
Though deeds of thy glory may darkness repair
Naught that thou dost hides thee from despair
Go slowly, O knight, through tears and thorn
Whever thou goest, thou hearest the horn
They call thee to war, to desolation forlorn
Ne'er to rest but fight through 'till the morn
Go slowly, O knight, take with thee thy fame
Whose eye is keen, yet still better his aim
Live your life now; know the end of this game
Giver of hope, know naught of great shame
Go slowly, O knight, great lance in thy hand
With thy sword bring good from evil demand
Though all else fail, surely thou must stand
Fight on to the end, fight on for thy land.
