I'm sure we've all doodled our way through a boring lecture. Doodling during class is fun, and can actually help you retain more information from your teacher's boring talk than, say, texting.

When you draw in class, what do you draw? Do you have examples? Have you ever been caught drawing your teacher?

I know personally that some of my finest sketches have been created on binder paper, then turned in. Teachers aren't very keen on illustrated notes, it seems. Though once, I had a history teacher appreciate a sketch I drew on a test of a neanderthal. I have gotten caught drawing my French teacher, and she was visibly annoyed eragonawesome2.gif

I will post an example of my in-class doodles tomorrow, or whenever I get my scanner access.

I drew this really awesome picture in the back of my book in English once. The teacher almost caught me and the next time I was drawing she yelled at me. But it was so worth it. I ended up turning that little sketch into a painting which my art teacher says is my best. She said it was "exceptional". So, suck on that, English teacher!

I drew a legendary moose wearing a hat. And normally draw concept art for stories, or design weapons.

I don't get caught doodling in class but all my notes have little doodles in them. I mostly draw random designs, and long lists of things I'm trying to remember at the time. None of my drawing resemble anything close to what I'm trying to draw but it's still fun.

But in all my schools, even highschool, whenever you finish a test or quiz the teacher says too draw a picture on the back of the sheet if you finish early and you're waiting for everyone else to finish. Except for state testing and finals.

Here's something, I tried to draw Pokemon, and dragons I think.

Once I got kicked out of latin class for doodling while the teacher was getting his notes and stuff ready.

I draw eyes on all my papers, most of the time.

I doodle constantly. It's all I do, basically. xD I even doodle in exams, because I find it very difficult to sit for three hours and write constantly... so I take ten minutes and absent-mindedly doodle before snapping out of it and finishing the paper. I do it rather unconsciously. xD

I'll draw anything, but, looking back, it's more random designs, eyes/faces, flowers, shoes (??) or people in the class/area.

I have nothing to declare except my genius.

I doodle all the time. I've been caught a few times before; it's usually concepts for stories- monsters, weapons, people, stuff like that. Sometimes it's just random shapes. A lot of times it will be song quotes in weird fonts. My diary is covered with freaky quotes written in psycho-killer style, and that.

I also have a thing with doodling Daleks. I do that quite a lot in fogged-up bus windows. They're simple to draw, look cool, and are in all honesty pretty badass creatures.

Ahh...good times...

Last year, I was doodling a dog while we were watching a boring movie in Social Studies. Bad part about the class is that I could tell the first time I looked at my teacher, she'd hate me the rest of the year.

So yeah, I doodled a dog off of my notebook and got caught, but luckily, I didn't get a detention which I was happy for. I thought she'd rip my head off, take a nible on it, stick it in a french fry frier, and then burn it in a bonfire. She scares the heck out of me O.O

I do that too. I can't believe I forgot to include it - lyrics and just random words that are being said at the time, so by the end my notes are a collection of random words that make no sense. xD

Several people have questioned my mental health upon viewing my bored-in-class drawings.

I definitely doodle during class.
I drew Glaedr during orchestra, if that counts. (We were watching a movie that day).
If anyone is interested. I updated my art thread.

I do border doodles, round my work. Or inside the matgin I do swirls and stuff. My teachers don't actually mind too much. Or they don't notice.
