"Confession"

These words are what I
write to you,

So bind them to your heart,
We will never be apart,

Some things are meant to be,
Hopefully you and me,

Silently she wonders;
"Who is this for?"

Secretly she hopes,
That she knows as well as I,

Frustrated, she gives up
This guessing game,

Knowing he will not,
Give out a name,

Her eues emerald,
The hair dark,
Upon his heart,
She has left mark,

Not a scar by any means,
His heart in her hands,
Whatever she deems,

She leans in closer,
Could this be it?
She want a lil' more...
To prove this is legit.

"Kittens"

Whenever i'm depressed,
I figure kittens are best,

As you sit there with tears,
Making your cheeks wetter,

A fluffy kitten licks them up,
Theres nothing better.

That innocent little fuzz~ball,
Who knows nothing at all,

About my pain,
Or who i am,
What i've done,
Or who i've become,

It just wants a friend,
How Can i say no?

L.A.W

"Learn"

I dunno where to turn,
I've lost myself,

I never seem to learn,
Soon i'll have noone else,

Am i high or does life just suck?

Most depressing is in fact,
That i cant blame others for the way i act.

The stars didn't pull my strings,
Nor God,
Clip my wings...

"The Sea"

Have you ever felt like the
Only fish in the sea?

Well Darling i feel just the same,
Maybe we got eachother to blame,

Hesitation's a poison, or so i say,
Love so Dangerous there must be another way...

Maybe tomorrow, maybe next year,
I'll find a way,
So never fear.

"Weighing One's Options"

Though i love her with a passion,
Far too many things are clashin'n,

I must be too nervous, no not quite,
Something~else keeps me up all night,

A great poet once said, "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
and sorry I , could not travel both."

Is it hesitation? Cowardly perspiration?
Nay! Fear far too tame a word,

And yet, just the right one.
Is it fear that keeps me from breaking a heart, and saving another?

Or is it love?!
Another poet once cried; "Oh! What a tangled web we weave!"

Ever the wordsmith, I look into the sky...
Seeking the next line in this poem?

Or perhaps the next line of a tragic tale,
One of a man torn by love for one, and sorrow for the other,

Regret I've always said is a deadly wine,
Though with it comes much wisdom,
Over the years it wears one down.

I'm really in no hurry to burden myself with a memory i'd glady forget,
Fate however, has other ideas, and i've little time to make up my mind,

Little good it does me, wishing to rewind,
I'm on a fuse, it's live! or snooze!

L.A.W

"What You Will"

I don't know what to say,
I'm ashamed of this day,

I know you've got your master~plan,
It just hard being a card in your hand...

I know you realize,
Cuz you can se it through my eyes,

Soon I'll make the last of my stands,
It won't be long before i am on my hands,

Please,
Please,
Help me to see,
Who it is,
You want me to be.

L.A.W

"Somber Day"

Her not being able to stay,
Is what makes this such a somber day,

There are so many things i wish to say,
But my tongue an' lips can't find the way,

The memories flood my mind,
So good it would be just to rewind,

Staring at the wolrd through a dusty mirror,
Everything now, crystal clear...

The ones who thought the world was flat,
Didn't know what they were looking at,

Indeed the world's a circle,
But in more ways than just one,

Life and death intertwining,
All the day and past..

The setting Sun.

Where, Oh Where? Have the Words Gone?

There's a saddneess in my heart,
And i dont know where it starts,

Everything seems so wrong,
Like nothing here belongs,

And Aimlessly I yearn,
Not knowing where to turn,

In my heart I fell so bad,
Falling for love, being had.

There is a SONG in my heart,
But i dont know where to start,

It seems I'm one with the birds...
Cuz I have lost... all my words,

Funny thing is, on top of the world,
From here I see, everything's spoiled,

He thought people cared,
But what did he know?

A chance he never fared,
He has never felt this low,

Anger stirs within,
And he shoves it away,

His God quietly beckons,
To show him it's still okay,

There is a song... in his heart,
A mess of maddness that still smarts...

He has yet to find the words,
But at least he has a friend,

That will be there be his side,
Until the very end.

"Plain it Was to See"

Her heart tore in two,
As she stared after you,

And as I closed my eyes,
My bottom lip started to rise,

Time was such a devil,
Just when our love had finally reached that level,

She endures on with all her might,
Not dropping her gaze till I'm outta sight,

As I turn the bend, I lose control,
And plain it was to see, love had taken its tole,

It hurt just as much as we knew it would,
though we, praying for each other as hard as we could,

She is uncertain, just as I,
This test of time, we hope to defy.

Time to Weave Words
Current mood: worried
Category: Life
It's time to weave words,
So you will understand,

How the passage of time,
Makes me wish I could stop the sands,

Musing as I lie awake,
Every single sleepless night,

How fay my sanity would fall,
Form this ever rising height,

The sirens are sounding,
Something's not quite right,

Thoughts drifting to those loved,
Only to feel its painful bite,

The tears well up,
And I brush them away,

Holding it in,

Makes it all feel okay,

I will never ever tell you,
How much i think your wrong,

I love us far too much,
And want to get along,

Looking at my fingertips,
I wonder what I'm for?

Even though I know it,
And am afraid to open the door,

There's too much hate,
On this hurtful Earth,

So much careless damage,
To our own self-worth,

Living in the moment,
Is never hard to do,

But after taking a chance,
You've got to follow through,

The ticking drives me crazy,
Cuz I know just what it means,

Now I've even less time,
To hope, and love, and dare to dream,

I look at old portraits,
These people were once alive,

Holding my breathe I wonder,
When I'll take that eternal dive,

I dont fear death,
I never did,

I just really miss,
Being a lil' kid,

The day is done,
The night has begun,

Though it means time has won,
I really look forward to the rising sun.

yay! There's another poet who uses free-verse as well! you're really really talented, and my favorite one was "Weighing one's Options"

The red part was awesome, and I liked your numerous references to another poet's sayings. That reminds me of the Unfortunate Events Series.

In the first poem, there's a spelling error:

QUOTE
Knowing he will not,
Give out a name,

Her eues emerald,
The hair dark,
Upon his heart,
She has left mark,

It's 'eyes', but that's probably just a typo.

QUOTE
Please,
Please,
Help me to see,
Who it is,
You want me to be.

-A very very moving last stanza, and an awesome closing. There's a lot of emotion behind that, and the breaks in the lines really make it stand out.

One note about the way you present your poems: Don't write them all at once. (Actually, I'm guilty of this too.) When you see fifty poems in a row, lazy readers sometimes just skip it. Try waiting for a response before posting the next poem.
-That's what someone else told me.

This is what I say: Keep it up and who cares about the responses!!!

"It's hard to walk straight
when the day is late
And the horizon is as far
as you can see

It's hard when you're told
That you're getting old
and the world isn't
what it used to be."

Shards of Glass
“Calm.” Mr. Jenkins repeated flatly. “I’m perfectly calm. Oh, I’m as relaxed as I can be with an elephant floating by the window.” The last few words were increasing in volume until they were shrieks punctuated by violent stabbing motions at the window.
Funny Sci-fi stories
-Yup, gotta love them Australians...
