I just signed up to take part in the National Novel Writing Month. I already know what I am going to do but I was wondering what some of you others are planning.

Mine is about an young inter-dimensional traveling djinn who is going to a training academy. Once there he finds out he is Cilieth Karador reborn, the darkest djinn lord that ever lived. He has to deal with hatred from the community and fight to learn the secret of a man who is hunting him.

What are some of the things that others of you are doing? Create a summery about your ideas and works. Let us fellow IF members know what you are thinking. Also if you need any help, this can be used as a good place to get some feedback.

I haven't decided yet, to be honest. I still haven't signed up to it, I'm looking for the terms & conditions. I'll get back to you.

I know what I'm doing. A fantasy broken up into two POVs.

My NaNoWriMo is rather complicated. I'm not being secretive, it's just that it takes a really, really long time for me to give a synopsis of my ideas so far.

However, I was just telling a few people in a writing chatroom about it, and they were hanging on my every word and asking when I was going to put it up on FictionPress. So it's certainly not terrible. XD.

Are you going to post it here on IF?

Well, yes.

It's also not nearly as good as people seemed to think it would be, because, for one, my skill level isn't that high, and two, I have no idea how the story is going to unfold besides the middle-ish part and the end. Basically, the two most important events in the story.

And I still don't know how it begins. XD.

I have no idea what mine'll be about. I figure it'll come as I write... Right now I'm thinking sci-fi so I can have nice, big space wars and stuff with millions of ships, but I'm not sure.

Maybe it'll end up being an animal's POV in a murder mystery set in South America. That way I could make the last line something like "Yes, Sherlock the toad, but /why/ did the chicken cross the road??"

Working on a project I've wanted to for a long time. One that redefines dragons--a war between western, Inheritance-esque dragons and the snakelike eastern dragons.

Also, probably going to be a series. Hoping to actually write the same plot twice, but from the opposite POVs, and, since they'll be on opposite sides with very little shared knowledge apart from some battles, they'll be entirely different stories.

I'm continuing my novella Otnua for NaNoWriMo. Already completed a chapter thanks to it. About to write more right now.

I think I've pretty much decided to just sort all my previous ideas that got left on the backburner into one story.

It's probably going to be crap, but who cares.

I have nothing to declare except my genius.

Alright, I think I need to redefine this thread a little bit. Just saying that you have got an idea is not much of a conversation starter. Tell us a little bit about your idea. Maybe post the short summery that's on your Nano site (or write a new one). Let's hear what some of you have got going. You are 4 days into the month of november so you must have some idea of what you are doing if you hope to make the 50,000 mark
