Hey guys, I just got a PM where one of the members suggested we'd have some sort of list over the finished stories here in WH, and I think that's a really good idea.

So if any of you know about stories that have been finished just post a link here in this topic and it would've been cool if you could write a short teaser/summary without spoilers for it to put up in the topic I'll be making.

I was thinking it would look something like this:

Original writing
Link to story with Title
Short summary/ teaser.

Next story and so forth

Inheritance Fanfiction:
Link to story with Title
Short summary/ teaser.

Next story and so forth

and the same with General fanfiction and IF stories.

I would also like to hear what you guys think of this idea, and if you have any thoughts on how it alternatively should be implemented.

Sounds like a great idea, there could also be a place where stories are alphabetically categorized with links for easy access?

Unfortunately I'll be unable to put anything here for a while, the story I have in the works is going to take at the very least a year to come to a close...

I did what I said I would; I asked my own readers if they knew of any finished books. These are the results: Breoal and Brothers, by Jsquared0905; The Storm Dragon series: Black Dragon, Dragon's Blood, From White to Black, Shadowed Throne, Shade Dreams, Shadow's Heir and Star-Crossed, by Onifex; Du Eldumaka (though they were unsure if this was spelled correctly), by Professor Blagden; Faegareth, by Arthryn; Book III (no title), by TParis; and Du Wyrda abr Skulblaka, by Tom1. I'm sorry, I haven't fully read any of these, but others have and I'm sure they will help. I'm glad that you could create this thread. Someday I'll have something on here.

Both. And yeah, I meant OW too. And IF stories and General Fanfiction. And I would be very happy if people that have written the story or people who've read it can write a few sentences about the story too.

Yes, QWERTY is, indeed complete. However, I've sort of let the thead die (the link is still in my sig, and I'm working on saving the critiques), and I plan to resurrect it after NaNo is done. Do you still want a summary, though?

I did not actually finish reading this; I generally avoid questionable content and did not realize until I was most of the way through it that it contained any, but I read enough to create this.

Breoal by Jsquared0905

This is yet another 'Book IV', but the writing is excellent, and the plot is original. He did a good job of explaining everything CP left hanging; this book is considered by most to be the finest book in Inheritance Fanfiction.

A'ight, I'll give a summary for QWERTY.


When mute teen Charles Rom finds a keyboard that allows him to project words into the air, he thinks his communicative life will become much easier. However, he and his best friend, Chip Cruzer, are soon plunged into the conspiracy surrounding the keyboard. They find themselves on the run from one of the keyboard's mentally unstable co-creators. As they are forced to endure the trial of their lives, they experience betrayal, new friendships, love, pain, heartbreak, and most importantly, the power of second chances.


Okay, that's the summary, which really summarizes nothing. So it's more of a blurb. I'm too lazy to provide a link, but my sig potholes to it.

Suggestion!

Perhaps there should be a pinned thread for this. Finished books don't appear often, so this thread is sort of sinking. Maybe a pinned thread listing all of the stories, with a link to this thread, where the applications go.

The Storm Dragon Series written by Opifex

Summary
A must read for any reader of inheritance fanfic, or aspiring writer of. Opifex takes the worn, cliché and ignored antagonist Galbatorix and breathes life into him, transforming him into the anti-hero who is centre of this story. The Storm Dragon series is a retelling of Galbatorix's backstory, literally from birth to death, and spans across several fanfics which word count is higher than the cycle itself. An emotional and tragic journey, it is written beautifully with a number of great characters. I seriously recommend reading.

List of fanfics chronologically:

From White to Black (Part I)
Starts from Galbatorix's birth, follows how he becomes rider right until he finishes training and his dragon is killed.

From White to Black (Part II)
Starts from after his dragon dies and finishes when Galbatorix takes over Alagaesia as ruler.

The Shadowed Throne
This section starts from Galbatorix's eighty-fifth year of ruling Alageasia. Perhaps best described as Galbatorix's 'descent into insanity'. Opifex describes it as her favourite fic out of the series, I think at one point.

Black Dragon
Starts as a continuation of the inheritance series, and Galbatorix begins to turn into the protagonist in this fic. Opifex's first fic written in this series (afterwards she goes back and writes White to Black).

Dragon's blood
Continuation of the story (I can't think of any decent description without giving spoilers).

Shade's Dreams
Again, continuation (sorry, spoilers again)

Shadow's Heir
Last installment of the series. Follows Galbatorix's son as the centre character, as opposed to Galbatorix.


Also:
Star-Crossed
The prequel to White to Black, it explains how Galbatorix's parents got tegther, fell in love, and had him. Technically first chronologically, but I preffered reading it last.

I third the motion to have this post pinned. I think that would be a big tribute to all the work that those writers have done and something for others to strive for, making it onto the list. It's hard and a reward would be nice.

Also I find it difficult to find the finished stories because the quickly vanish into they long list of various forum topics.
