I have used the standard skin for months, until like two weeks ago (I now use Webber light blue), and I noticed that since then my e-mail box finally receives notifications (comments, Private messages, etc.)

When I joined, I had the standard skin, the black/golden one with Glaedr on top. I had to ask for a validation then, and I never received any e-mails.

Could it be that the e-mail error have something to do with the skin not functioning well, or am I terribly wrong at this?

Just a question from someone who doesn't know a lot about webdesigning and all that internet stuff...

I don't either, but it doesn't seem logical, really. I might not know about how CSS's and how the we is run too well, but I'm pretty sure the skin wouldn't interfere with the e-mails.

However, it does sound suspicious.

It is doubtful it is the reason your email works not, I'd write it off to coincidence. All of the email stuff happens on server side and the skin is client side.

Have you tried switching it back?
