First off
Rinion, sorry about that I realized my mistake after I had already posted it. I will try in the future to make sure I place my discussions and topics in the appropriate places.
Secondly, the 1st book is about a land where a king and his sister are at war with one another. This is where you meet the two main characters in the series. After that, all of the gods of Alagaesia couldn't describe the amount of chaos that insues. Which brings me to my reason for posting the topic; I was hoping to find someone who understood the story any better than I did or even read it. I know I didn't explain it very well, but I really don't like to give spoilers to people who haven't read the book. It's so they can decided for themselves whether they want to read it or not.

---Edit:
Unfortunately, it looks like I am going to have to let people know of the brilliance of this story. Most people only read popular literature. This book is far from popular. It is a tale of characters much like us and yet, set in a time where the magic of the world allows them to be something more, in some cases. In others they are born into a world they are never allowed to be part of fully.
For instance, my favorite character is Stronghand or 5th son. He belongs to a race that is best explained as the human lineage of dragons. He is a cunning and lethal person. The first time you see this character he is bound in chains by the Count of Lavas Holding, a sea-port city. Thanks to an act of kindness by the Count's unknown heir, Alain, he is set free and bound by to Alain with his Eika, his race, and Alain's human blood. After that, the two often exchange vissions of the other in their sleep. But, it isn't as simple as it sounds. The vissions take place in their sleep, but they allow each of them to also experience and know what they we thinking and plotting in the vissions. Neither of them are willing to let anyone know what the true meaning of the vissions intale, but they are each tempered by them.
The series has multiple characters that each partake of their own quests. I believe it is these features that make this series one you want to read again and again. All I ask is that you read the 1st book and discover for yourself whether it is good or not. But remember the book is not for everyone.
