Well who is it? That special character from a book series that has wit, intelligence, power and is a good laugh, or whatever you consider to be important in a character.

I think that my favourite of all time is Bartimaeus out of the Bartimaeus Trilogy for the simple fact that I thought he was hilarious. He was funny, witty and clever all in one. And he was mega powerful and could change shape, just thought I'd slip that in as well whistle.gif .

And guys please don't just say who your favourite character and from which book series, give a reason as well.

Mods: Sorry if this was already a topic, I didn't think I saw one but I might have missed something.

Yeah I noticed your thread after I posted this, sorry about that. But I wanted to know who was your favourite book character from any books not just the IC.

My favorite character of all time is Nakor from Raymond E. Feist's Midkemia Series. For those who don't know who I'm talking about, he's an Angela type character (or actually Angela is a Nakor type character). He's a magician but claims magic doesn't exist, he's a card cheat, he's a con man, and he's hysterical (wan't an orange?). However, his looks are deceiving. He's one of the most lethal and dangerous characters there are. And those who do mess with him learn their lesson very quick.

I'm moving this to a more appropriate location.

I just finished reading the Sabriel books so right now my favorite character ever right now is Mogget but I will probably change it again after I finish a different book.

I can't really tell too much why I like him because it will ruin the book, but he is sarcastic and lazy, my two favorite traits in a character.

Mine would have to be Firestar, from the first series of Warriors. I just have to choose him because he's loyal, smart, and a good leader. But of course because he's just plain awesome.
You know, if he wasn't a vampire, he'd just be a stalker.

I'm not a stalker, by the way you're out of milk.

I like the Harvest Moon games, call me crazy, but I do.

I do many things well, none of which generate income.

Mine would have to be Logain from The Wheel of Time.

A minor character but I like him...

If I were to choose a main character, it'd have to be Rand(from the same series), his.... insanity.... is interesting.

Malus Darkblade from the chronicles of Malus Darkblade. He's a Murtagh-type character, except Malus is more evil...
Resourceful, intelligent, skilled, awesome... the list goes on. But the way he is thrust into conflicts with others far more evil/ powerful/ intelligent and still manages to win is what really makes this dark elf my fave. Oh, and his retainer, Hauclir, is funny (In a witty/ sarcastic way) thumbsup.gif

Light is fluffy. It's fun, simple and completely two dimensional.
Darkness is different. It has depth, life and thought. It has a soul. Embrace it.
Silence is truly the most precious thing on this entire planet.

My favorite is a tie between Makenna, from The Goblin Wood by Hilary Bell, and Granny Weatherwax from the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. I like witches, what can I say.

Can't really say, my favourite character ever is from a movie, but currently, gotta love Halt from Ranger's Apprentice, and Jayfeather from Warriors: The Power of Three. Looks like grouchy and kick-arse characters are in for me.

Captain Jack Sparrow: "Cruel is a matter of perspective."
Halt the Ranger: "People see only what they expect to see."
J. Robert Oppenheimer: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

Ohh, yeah! Halt is awesome, i can't wait for book 7 to come out on January fifth 2010. But mine is actually Will, he's courageous, quick and nimble, and to top it all off, young! I think he tops all of the characters in the series, considering how much he's grown from the young boy, without parents scared of spending his life as a farmhand. Good thing he chose not to be a warrior, right? thumbup.gif
