We're back! For real this time

Okay, so we've finally finished getting things up and running. The conversion and indexing of the database took way, way longer than anticipated, and then afterward we had to fix up some settings and get an extra PHP feature installed on the server so that we could run our custom index-page plug-ins. One links you to the most recent Shurty news articles and the other features one of the many articles from the Shurtugal Wiki.
In addition, there are lots of new features for you guys to explore on your profiles, so have fun.
We've gotten a new skin for the new forum version. It's nice and sleek and lightweight, so it should be easy on your internet connections (and, being dark colored, easy on your monitor's energy consumption). We've made some modifications to it already, but in the near future, look forward to custom icons and small changes. In addition, we have some light-colored skins (these are just IPB default designs - we don't have a custom light skin yet) in case you prefer those over dark skins.
That's about it. If you have any questions about the upgrade, ask away. Also, if you see any bugs, skin issues, or experience permission problems or something, please post about it in this thread as well.

Forum looks a bomb really. My only one regret is the profile... You can't have everything I guess....

As someone else said, this is the same skin as Leophim Forums uses. I'm wondering, how hard is it to put in more skins? ^^;
(I don't mean to sound accusatory - I'm just curious, really.)

IPB3 is new, hence there is a fairly limited set of decent themes. Allison is coding us one herself, just it's taking a while. =)

Installing a new skin takes like two minutes, but finding a good-looking IPB 3 skin that I don't have to pay money for is almost impossible. That is why I started making a custom one. But then it wasn't coming together in time and I saw this skin on Ben's forum and used it, because it's seriously the ONLY decent free skin I have seen. I'm going to try to make some changes to distinguish this skin even more.

Welcome back!
Glad you could get it up and running
So what purpose would be served in finding whatever need be unlocked, which we don't have,
Without first having found the key what unlocks it?
You're not making any sense at all.
Any more questions?

Is it just me or is the left column wider than it used to be?

No matter how hard horses, cowgirls, or Vince's bunnies try to stop them.

It's way better looking, though it's going to take some getting used to.
Once I've figured it out I'll enjoy it fully, I'm sure
The only meh I have with it is that it's a little too... all one colour. I like the dark skin but there's nothing to break it up, y'know?
Though I know this cannot be helped so is pointless in mentioning.
But the improvements outweigh the notexactlynegativebutlackingword.
Thanks
EDIT: Status'? Really? Isn't that a little too.. networking site? I didn't think anything of it as I thought people owuld just see it if they went to your profile or something but I just saw the sidebar XD
Ohwell.
