I just finished reading Dan Brown's newest book "The Lost Symbol". Honestly, I was impressed with it. Not as awesome as Angels And Demons, but it was certainly a good book. Nor was it as controversial as The Da Vinci Code.

But, if you like Brown's books, I do suggest checking it out.

So has anyone else read it?

Okay, I know that everyone has heard this man at one point in their life. Honestly, I used to think he was okay. I bought one of his CDs, but didn't listen to it much. Then, a few weeks ago, I bought a concert version of the musical Chess that was performed in London during the Spring. In it, Josh Groban sang the parts of one of the main characters and I absolutely fell in love with one of the songs from it called "Anthem". I'm actually listening to it right now.

Anyways, I was wondering who else shares my view that Josh is one of the most talented male vocalists in the world?

NOTE: All these vids are of him live. So no studio tricks.

Josh Groban-You Are Loved

Josh Groban-You Raise Me Up (Everyone's heard this one, but it's still awesome)

Josh Groban-Anthem

Josh Groban-Oceano

Celine Dion & Josh Groban-The Prayer

If anyone knows someone better than this, please let me know.

Just earlier today, I finished reading The Doomsday Key by James Rollins. One of the themes of the novel kinda leaped out at me.

Saint Malachy

Above is the link to information about an old Irish priest named Saint Malachy.

Below are several links towards a prophecy made by Saint Malachy known as the Prophecy Of The Popes.

Final Ten Popes

QUOTE
The Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy, is a list of 112 short phrases in Latin. They purport to describe each of the Roman Catholic popes (along with a few anti-popes), beginning with Pope Celestine II (elected in 1143) and concluding with a later added pope described in the prophecy as "Peter the Roman", whose pontificate will end in the destruction of the city of Rome.

So, I'm kind of curious what you people think about this prophecy of doom. Think it warrants merit or should we only pay attention to the likes of the Mayans and Nostradamus?

My brother watches, on a very regular basis, the History Channel show, Gangland. For those that don't know what it is, the History Channel basically just picks various gangs from America, gets interviews from present and former members of the gang, as well as prosecuters and officers involved, and then does a show about the gang and its history.

Now, since my brother watches it, occasionally I do as well.

And what I watch is just unbelievable. The crimes that you hear all these gangs being accused of, especially in the cases of the White Supremecist groups, is just horrendous.

My question is why in the hell hasn't the government done something about it?

It becomes obvious very quickly if a group of people, a "gang", is either beneficial or damaging to society. So why hasn't the government done anything about those gangs that are dangerous to society? And I mean really do something. Like I'm talking bringing in military, hunting them down, and exterminating them.

Does anyone here know why they haven't done something like this?

Has anyone else read, what I consider, one of the best and most depressing fantasy novels in recent years?
