The only dependable thing about the future is uncertainty.

One should rather die than be betrayed. There is no deceit in death. It delivers precisely what it has promised. Betrayal, though ... betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope.

Well, first and foremost, I am a major Murtagh and Thorn supporter. I apologize ahead of time if I seem biased, but they're amazing. I don't like Eragon, he annoys the rant.gif out of me. Saphira, I don't hate her but I don't particularly like her. They both seem conceited and non-understanding to me. I honestly don't think I would like the series much without Murtagh, even though he never shows up. I always flipped ahead during Brisingr to see when they would show up next (and it was always so far away wallbash.gif)

Well besides that hello everyone. :]

Sorry if this has been asked (I looked and couldn't find it) or is in the wrong section, I'm new here. Also sorry if this is answered in the book it's been over a year since I've read the whole thing through.

In Eragon, right when Ajihad hears Murtagh speak he says he recognized that the voice is Morzans. He then tells Murtagh to take off his shirt and turn around (meaning he somehow knew Murtagh bore a scar) and then says "Murtagh..." without being told his name. He somehow knew Morzan had a son named Murtagh and even knew enough about him to know of his scar, how did he know? I thught this was kept secret from everyone except Galbatorix and a few trusted servants, and no one else in the varden seemed to know of him.
