Chances are, yeah, Morzan's Eragon's father, and I don't have a problem with it. I just think it'd fit better if CP made it so Brom turned out to be Eragon's father.
We know from book one that Brom knew Selena after Eragon questioned him about her. He replied softly and emotionally, meaning he could have had a relationship with her. And Angela said that Brom failed at his relationship with the woman he loved Because he loved her. So although it's not plausible, it's still VERY possible that Brom is Eragon's father. It would be a nice twist for when Eragon talks to Brom and His mother in the Vault of Souls. Plus: Morzan's son fighting Brom's Son as Morzan fought Brom. It'd be kind of fitting. Eragon would just have to find Brom's sword, possibly hidden underneath the menoah tree...
