It might be nice if the orcs' shoulder in the corner was cropped in a less harsh way...actually, it might be nice if the whole thing was wider, that way you could get more of the tree in...
Sorry, you probably don't want my input though.

Its a nice thought, but I'm restricted to size on this one unfortunately.

Hmmm, maybe put the bright spot more on its shoulder. Draw the eyes to the orc better.

Would dodge be bad for that? Maybe soft glow...some erasing and part of a gradient flare?
Which shoulder though? Left (its right)? The only thing is I might lose some of the contrast between the bluish white ball of awesomeness and the orc.

Hmmm, Try this. Use the dodge tool, make a circle around the left shoulder. Then, use the burn, and burn from the far left, and continue to burn until it meets the dodge stuff. then, lower the opacity. Burn as much as it looks good to you, but don't over do it.

I think the flower/arabesque brushing in the lower left corner takes away from the whole darkness feel.

^^ Really? I thought it made it look sort of ghosty.

Tbh there's too much going on in the banner, but for a 'ghostly' look it works.
