I need some help.

Do you guys and gals have any ideas on a program that I could use for a start up program?

I've heard good things about Gimp, but would it be to advanced for me? a good assesment of my skills when it comes to Graphic Design is I can kinda make a stick man in MS Paint. wallbash.gif

Yet I would Really like to learn how to do it lol.

Any help is appreciated unworthy.gif.

side note: I think this is the Right place the Requests and Resources subform seemed to be for asking for signatures and that.

I think Gimp is a great starting program, since it is free and is mostly self-explanatory. I think the easiest creation/manipulation program to use is Adobe Fireworks, but you have to buy it of course, so you probably don't want to do that. On the Gimp website there are many "getting started" tutorials which you can use to learn.

Fireworks? Don't you mean Photoshop? Fireworks more for websites and more technical stuff.

Sky, I would definitely recommend Gimp, look up some tuts and you'll get the hang of it in no time. Good luck!

Fireworks is pretty much obsolete. It doesn't surpass Photoshop in any aspect of image manipulation at all anymore. I have no idea why it is included in the Creative Suite.

I suggest gimp I'm starting out with it as well. It's free, very helpful if your starting out like I am, and there's a ton of different stuff you can get for it, and its all free. (I like free)
