Well, I like it, definitely an improvement. C&C, and I might actually work on it after.

I like it. You've blended it really nicely and although the background it simple, it looks great. The only problem I have with it is that it seems devoid of color. You might want to enhance the blues a bit. Otherwise, it's awesome.

How's this?

I'm horrible with graphics so take this with a grain of salt. I don't see a noticeable difference between the first one and second one. I thought the hair might be a little bluer but my eyes are playing tricks on me. I like them both. What is she a character from? Is she original?

Note: While typing this, I scrolled down and both pics/graphics were practically on top of each other. The background has more of a bluish tint, from the duller brown/grey in the first one right?

I am using a 37" 1080p LCD and I can just barely make out a color difference. I'll have to run a color test on the LCD later and see if it's running right.

It's a nice sig but overall it's boring. The render is plain and is just kind of there. It's nothing to do with the style, I like the smudged background and such, but it needs more life.

As a guy I disagree. The undercleavage is inspirational and gives insight to what the character thinks about herself.

I like the flow and the way the render is placed, but to me it seems like the colors of the render a bit too closely matched with the colors of the background, making it seem, yeah, kind of colorless I guess. I think maybe it is because the color of her hair is reeeeeally close to the background right behind it. I dunno, I'm not very good at visualizing larger changes.

I like it, but it seems plain, as if something is missing.
Try adding another character facing the opposite way in the background.

Sorry you feel this way as it is not my intention. Art has to be appealing. It needs to invoke a feeling for it to be worthwhile to others. Anime or fantasy, when it's introduced to the masses, is beautiful when it can conjure thoughts of violence or sexuality. His character is a sexual being in some kind of position of power.

Um, well, while its nice to have responses in my topic, its somewhat not what I had in mind when I created this tag. I'll play around with the colours, see if I can come up with something to spice it up.

You know where I stand but I have a question. Are her hands glowing with some kind of power? Seems like there's a .....glow.

Ahh it looks really great now! Now it stands out a lot more . . . although it's quite a bit darker than the original, maybe you could try making the overall blue tone lighter? This one looks good, but it's definitely different in mood than the original.

Its the lighting effect I created. They weren't originally there.

I think it's far worse. The colours just don't match or blend. The distort around her body doesn't look good, and neither does the lighting. The smudge is alright, but you should really work on adding details into your smudge. It's just too plain and featureless. The blending between the render and bg is bad, and it just feels incomplete and.. meh.
It's too simple, and while it worked better in the first version, here it looks bad. It needs more to it. i'd say this is a big step down from your previous work. Sorry to be so harsh, but I really don't think it's as great as QTR or Ally are saying it is.

Yeah, a good pair of .... can make any picture look better.

As for not liking the picture, maybe if it was put into context, critics can understand why it was rendered the way it is. What is this character's story? Is she in a dream state? Inter-phasic dimensional shift?

You've over sharpened/burn/focused to much, and the render's quality went (what happened?)...and the background is to detailed for the render they've stopped matching. I like the color scheme you attempted though.

Basically go back to what you had before.

Better but still a lot of the same problems.
