Hi, well I've made a hoodie design for Mike for IF, made on Adobe Illustrator, the file got so big it took an hour to save. =(
prolly gonna redo icons.

Quick overview of design:

* 6pointed shield represents 6 subforums of IF including staff subforum.

*Icons represent 4 main things about IF (From left to right, top to bottom) RPG, Banhammer, The cycle sub forum, Creative arts.

*Dragons represent IF and its connection to fantasy and CP.

*100% done by me

I would say that the font used for IF doesn' really work with the rest of the design, maybe an older style font or something. But that is just me, and I ain't been doing any sort of graphics fer quite a while now hahaha.

Nice design. I agree the font does seem out of place, but with the new font you don't want to over power the rest of the design but keep IF as a main focus. Perhaps the Eragon type inheritance font would be good.

Dude that is awesome. The others are right, maybe change the font? Something that is more medievil, or flowing... But still, AWESOME design.

Cheers guys, I understand your concern but other fonts seem too look too tacky, the font lines up with the straight lines of the shield and keeps the design rigid instead of over doing the style.

Ill have a look at other styles of older font like Motb said, I wont use the inheritance font ( which is blergh! ) though due to possible copyright issues.

The bottom part is the winding back of the dragon, Asian dragon style(kind of serpent like).

EDIT: If you've got a particular font that would work give me the font name and ill try it out.

Maybe you can show us what some of the other good fonts look like?
BTW what program did you use?

-I think the head of the hammer should be larger, and the hammer tilted the other way, perpendicular to how it is now, so it follows the edge of the shield.
-I also think that the swords shouldn't match so much, I personally believe it would look nicer if they didn't look like a set, but more like crossed blades in combat.
-I really like your dragons
-I agree with everyone else that the font should be different, that one is too vertical where is says "Inheritance forums", but I do like the large blocky "IF"
-Are you suggesting that the hoodie be white, or is that for simplicity?

I would make the whole shield a bit more antique too- the dragons are really nice and look kinda old, and then you have a shiled that looks really new. Also, the objects in the shield are slightly too perfect if you get what I mean. Otherwise cool.

That's pretty neat.
If you have Lucida Blackletter font, it is more of a medival look.
The part of the shield where you have the four lines, I think it might be better as roman numerals, you know IV, but that is just my personal preference.

Do you mean have Roman numerals printed all along the black sides of the shield because that's quite an idea, ill try it.

Myth cheers for that I only knew of dafont.com which is a bit limited.

Well, I didn't mean that, but that is some idea! Actually, I just meant the bottom left part of the shield, representing the four books, should be IV instead of four lines.
Still, I like your idea better.
