So, after a long abstenance, I have decided to hone my abilities at using the GIMP. Two sigs I made in a short period of time, but didn't turn out too badly, I'd think.

I like version two better because there is less black stuff, more colour-matching and the border works more well than the first, however it is a bit too bright (especially when I am using a dark skin.)

I can't give any constructive criticism because from what I've seen on this site, GIMP may not be actually able to produce the same quality of sig made in other programs.

I'll disagree; GIMP is excellent in creating signatures. Don't judge by my and other newbies' works, see people like mtbanger.

And I'll agree that the second is probably better, but it doesn't show up as too bright for my screen.

Personally I like them both but i like the 2nd one slightly better as it is lighter and the colours match more effectively.

I like the darker tones of the first more.

i second that darker tonesd are much better.

Depends on each person's perspective. I might prefer the first one as well.
