Okay, one of the hardest parts for me is getting a good font, so I could use some advice. Currently the only thing I use is Photobucket or ImiKimi and both have pretty garbage fonts with no opacity settings. What do you guys use?
Wra1thHunter
The basic fonts in Photoshop work really well for Tags. I mainly use those, all though I have a couple fonts that can be found on dafont.com
Quoth the Raven
Meh, I almost always use a plain 'ol sans-serif font. Mainly because I'm too much of a novice to incorporate anything more. XD

Unfortunately, I don't have PS, but I'll check out that site. Thanks.

I checked it out, that really helped. Thanks Wra1th. lol.gif

Has everything!
If it doesn't have something, Google it.

That's what I use as well. XD

One of my favorites is Alba. Truly awesome font.

I like Birth of a Hero. Not that I experiment with fonts terribly much. I always try the default ones and the ones I've already downloaded first.

Edit: The two "Visitor" fonts - I don't remember if they are default or I downloaded them - work very well in most situations. They are just blocks, really. Its used in my current Saphira sig.
Master of the Blade
Birth of a Hero I have used several times before, nice grungey font.

I mainly use Century Gothic for my text though. I do have a fair few dafont ones, like Print Clearly, which is one of my favourites. Like I said though, Century Gothic is a font that I swear by.

I ussualy use the similar fonts...Most normal ones work well.
Iced Tea with Lemon
Some of my favourite fonts are:
Jane Austen
Bebas
28 Days Later
An Unfortunate Event
Baruta
Birth of a Hero
Cold Night for Alligators
Inked God
Love ya like a Sister
Loved by the King
Marke Eigenbau
Pointy
Retro Rock Poster
Roman Antique
Violation
Visitor
Windsong
Zebra

Almost all from dafont!
BeefStew

And Avant Garde is great too.

Other than those two, don't really have a favorite font.

Print Clearly is my favorite. There's a lot of uses for it. I also really like Trashco, but it's hard to find anywhere to use it. I don't think I ever have, I've just looked at it and been amazed. For script, I use either Jane Austen or Scriptina, and for layouts and stuff that needs a really unique font, I really like Impact Label, or Pointy. When I need handwritten font, I'll almost always use Complete In Him. That one is also really fun for the cute things that you can get for making some of the keyboard symbols. I don't remember the others, but I know that the ^ makes a heart with that font.
Master of the Blade
Yay someone else uses Print Clearly, and appreciates its genius.

I like Dead Secretary and Soul Stalker. Very nice grungy fonts.

I could talk forever about fonts.. and I still suck at typography.

Anyhow, after being in design school, I tend to avoid most of Dafont's offerings, as the vast majority are made by amateurs and have quality issues like bad kerning and proportions. However, there are a few gold nuggets there, basically all of which get showcased on Smashing Magazine's website. If Smashing Magazine has featured a Dafont font, then it's a good font.

Otherwise, I tend towards the classics and other fine fonts (because I'm a snob like that).

My favorite sans serifs are Gotham and Futura. Gotham is gorgeous all around, in all its weights. It's the font largely used in the Obama campaign. I've had it since before the Obama campaign though, so nyah. Futura is a classic. It's been around since the 1920s, and was the inspiration for Century Gothic. Both these fonts are clean, modern, and awesome. I avoid Helvetica because it's so obscenely overused. Same with Arial.

For serifs I use either High Tower or Jenson Pro. Usually Jenson because I have all the weights and styles. Both these fonts are stately and elegant, and aren't boring like Times New Roman. However, these don't have convenient Wikipedia articles.

But yeah, if any of you are actually serious about graphic design, I highly recommend getting to know your fonts.

Print Clearly is kickass, Helvetica is a very heavily used font in the industry. Jey is a cool handwriting font.

Dafont is okay for about 3 fonts, try looking at http://www.fontsquirrel.com/ for some more ones. They all have free commercial licenses. I'm not gonna lie, there's a ton of Helvetica clones there, but some shiners too.

Oh, another great font is Trajan Pro.
